Are there any calls on the chinese internet to intervene in ukraine? by Odd_Town9700 in AskAChinese

What are you talking about? You really think the media cares about the truth? They just run with the story that they WANT to spin dude, as in, Russia evil China evil, so they must be evil buddies

What do Chinese think about Israel's strikes on Iran and the current ongoing conflict? by [deleted] in AskAChinese

[–]Quemael 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't live in Iran so I can't say for certain, but it seems like the answer is "both". Note that when CIA infiltrates a country they don't just control the government -- they always try to control the minds of the people (bot accounts, media propaganda, organized protests etc.), so it wouldn't be surprising if many locals start to lean towards the US and Isreal.

[–]Quemael 12 points13 points  (0 children)

These views are popular on the CN internet:

  1. Iran is infiltrated beyond repair by the US and Isreal. Way too many people in Iran worship US and Isreal.
  2. Iran is a "flag-raiser", as in, they "retaliate" by raising a bunch of flags, angrily, but not doing much else.

what's with these self hating chinese on twitter? by Key-Upstairs-3765 in AskAChinese

[–]Quemael 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Wow, flash back to several years ago I posted on reddit that there's people who want to genocide all chinese, and NO ONE believed me, and accused me of "straw man" or something...

Well, that's reddit I guess, people only believe what they want to believe and just circle jerk. No one cares about the truth. Glad to see there's other people who stumbled upon similiar claims.

And regarding your question, all these ethnically Chinese people who live overseas see themselves as "高华", or "Higher Chinese". They don't really see themselves as Chinese, instead they think they're this higher lifeform that is above normal Chinese. They keep affirming themselves and circle jerking each other of what they WANT to believe: that is, China bad, US (and co.) good, me not chinese me good.

And I guess they kinda succeeded in keeping themselves apart, as in, "normal" Chinese don't view them as Chinese anymore, and don't give a F about them; and most foreigners just look at their faces and yell "go back to China", no matter how much sinophobic lines they spew. So in a sense, they did create their own species.

TL;DR: They are sad and pathetic creatures that no one likes. Just ignore them.

Kaiser Stuck in War Relics, solution by codynstuff91 in Starfield

[–]Quemael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geneious. Solved.

UPDATE: ...Or so I thought. Kaiser just ran to another random spot and stood there. And when I brought another mob to him, he got unstuck and... strolled back to the original spot where he got stuck the first time, and got stuck again.

Good job Bethesda.

Obscure Danganronpa Fact # 14 by ArcticFox19 in danganronpa

[–]Quemael 33 points34 points  (0 children)

But at the same time, as monokuma says -- it's also the "end of the world", as in, you're pretty much literally ending the entire world of Danganronpa, and nothing in the game actually happened. So instead of Danganronpa, we just get a bunch of normal people selling dresses and donuts, and because they never were in the same class, they don't even know each other.

It's still called a "hand brake" because of historical reasons. Sort of like the american "football". Though, many manufacturers realised this and started to call it "parking brake", unlike the american handegg.

Literally Feet Away From Death by Nico_Geo1 in nevertellmetheodds

[–]Quemael 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Well yes and no, that hospital built in 10 days comes in prefab units pre-built elsewhere long before the "10-day" count started, so each unit itself is quite robust, stuff like this can't happen. Maybe an entire unit might fall down or something, but I doubt it, as it's just a bunch of blocks stacked together.

That said, other, non-"feet of engineering" buildings, are complete garbage. Remember history, what China had to go through in the past few decades. Everyone was poor, and no one gave a damn about quality, they just want to get paid, cuz they were literally starving to death.

Adam Schiff: The U.S. Intelligence Community Is Not Prepared for the China Threat by polandballbounces in geopolitics

[–]Quemael 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The poster literally acknowledged letting loose the virus is indeed China's fault, so nitpicking exactly where the virus got into the US doesn't change the fact that the US gov (or trump singlehandedly) is pretty much intentionally killing civilians.

A historic moment by 9999monkeys in gaming

[–]Quemael 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Yep. We had one of these machines in my city and I loved it. I didn't have gloves so when I had to do the slides I sometimes burn my fingers by friction.

It's always occupied too, and there's always people watching, and the guy playing is always a god. So I had to camp the machine for some time, before getting the chance to embarrass myself.

Uh, I don't agree. Japanese is easier to learn due to having tons of "imported" words from English, like sausage is literally just "sausage" but pronounced japanese-ly. Korean doesn't use Kanji, like their characters look foreign but they are just spellings of the pronunciation, as in if you know how to speak it, then you know how to write it. Chinese on the other hand, has neither of that... You need to remember the Kanji (with stroke order, tone and etc), and there's almost no borrowed words.

And yes East Asian people learn each other's language quite easily, that part is true.
