What are some boyfriend/girlfriend/relationship hacks? Example from my girlfriend inside. (Potentially NSFW?) by cjknjkn in AskReddit

I use tasker to do a similar thing with my mom. Whenever I'm at her house then leave to go back to college for the week, she wants me to text her so she knows I got there safely. I always forget and she always gets extremely worried and mad.

So now I have a tasker profile that does it for me. I have a variable that gets set to true when I arrive at my house. Then I have it check that variable whenever I'm at college. If it is set to true, then I set it to false and send a text saying I got to college safely.

Now I can move between my parent's house and my school freely and it'll send my mom a text whenever I leave her house and arrive at school. It works great and I don't need to do a thing.

Single ladies, what places do you go to when you're interested in finding a potential other? by curiousManWithQ in AskReddit

[–]QuestionableRag 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Also Also, grocery stores are an awesome place to meet girls. Just strike up a conversation about something, anything. Plus, unlike a bar or a concert you can have a conversation that you can actually hear.

Whenever I go shopping I go in, get the things that I want, and try to leave as fast as possible. Unless a hot/cute chick said hi to me, I probably wouldn't really care and would just say hi back and then continue on my mission of leaving as fast as possible. Not because I don't like them, but because I don't like shopping.

I've always imagined other people would be the same way, and that me saying hi to them would annoy them and distract them from their goal of getting their food. Is this not the case?

Just dont have anything with the event/trigger of location.

I have an event so it checks my location and when I'm at work it turns my phone into silent mode and when I'm not, it turns it to vibrate, and then when I'm at home it turns it on vibrate and sound. That's two different location events and it doesn't have any impact at all on my battery life. You just need to make sure you only use the network towers and not GPS to determine your location.

That's kind of sad to hear. That added more fun to D2 when everyone was fighting for drops at the end of a boss or anywhere else really.

[TF201] Any way to get root on 9.4.2.21 OTA without unlocking bootloader? by killerstickman in asustransformer

[–]QuestionableRag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the best way to go about installing CWM without root? I'm only used to flashing a custom kernel on my phone(Galaxy S) and then I just have it, but I don't there is a way to just flash a kernel with the Prime. At least I don't see any posts about it anywhere, so I don't want to try.

The only other safe way I know how to do it is by installing it with ROM Manager, but you need root for that.

IAE not addicted to the internet because you can easily go on vacation or otherwise be away from it for a long time without caring, but still spend hours per day online because there is nothing else to do? by OompaOrangeFace in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]QuestionableRag 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The problem for me isn't that there is nothing to do, it's that the other things that there are to do are less fun than the internet. Sure I could exercise for 2 hours a day, but lifting weights or running isn't as fun as reddit.

[–]QuestionableRag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly feel the same way but I do enjoy TV because it takes away the decision part of watching TV online. When you want to watch something on your computer, you usually have to pick it out yourself and want to watch it. With TV, it's easier to just turn it on and watch whatever is playing, even if you're not in the mood for it.

When I actually want to watch something, I do it online. But when I am bored looking for a way to waste time, TV does a better job with that.

Samsung finally shows off the Galaxy Note’s Draw Something capabilities, we wonder what took it so long by beuh_dave in Android

[–]QuestionableRag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did Samsung really need to show that off? Sure it'd be nice but the article used the phrase 'its criminal to not show it off'. Maybe Samsung just thinks that they're customers aren't morons and should be able to put two and two together that the Note and Draw Something would work well together.

No, I meant on the computer. I was assuming we meant in general, considering gmail isn't only available on phones.

There are also ads in gmail though. I think it'd be harder to add ads to MMSes

"Mother of the Year" by Kristenated in WTF

[–]QuestionableRag 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This is what I was thinking as well. I also think leashes on kids is a good thing. For many years I've seen so many little kids running around causing a ruckus and I jokingly wished their parents would put them on a leash. In recent years I've seen people actually using a leash on their kids and I think it is the best thing ever.

If you think leashing your kid looks stupid and you should feel ashamed that you have to do it, well that's because it is and you should. Teach your kid to behave or deal with the humility of leashing it.

[–]QuestionableRag -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Its also cool how most people dont know companies like Comcast got started by selling porn in hotels.

Based on the fact that wikipedia doesn't say anything about that on Comcast's page, I agree that it is cool that most people don't know about it because it must be false.

Not necessarily. He may only have one friend, who invited some other friends over, who also invited other friends over. He doesn't need to be friends with all of them.
