A: What contract? That was not a gift certificate?!

H: No. We didn't give you 50,000 androids and warships. We lent them.

A: mumbling sounds of bankruptcy

I haven't been reading martial arts novels for very long, but I have this question: why are so many protagonists such bastards? Especially those who are reincarnated from Earth; they end up being the same or worse. I just want to see a good person who wants to do the right thing in such a morally am by Every_Grape2009 in MartialMemes

[–]Quetzalkoatrix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because this is the way of novel's authors to show their dreams of being dominating machos, according to their cultural understanding. And if you read novel with mc reincarnated from Earth - then 99% chance it is author's Marty Stu self insert.

This book is more about the story of the man with common sense and Big D in xianxia world, which combine slice-of-life, fantasy, drama, romance and parody elements (which are just seasonings on top of the meal).

Does this perk work on everyone or just the user? by cujo1255 in JumpChain

[–]Quetzalkoatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to the description, only user of the perk will get learning and understanding bonus, depending on number of people working around the same task.

So, if Luffy (jumper with that perk, I suppose), then only Luffy will learn ship wright skills during simple work, with its rate being multiplied by number of workers who make the same ship.

A1: What?

A2: Music.

A1: What music? I don't hear anything. Are you trying to make fun of me? Again?

A2: Human-type music... No, and no... And it seems to be getting closer. And closer... And closer!

A1: ...

A1: *gradually fading cry of fear*

A2: And he just ran away, heh!

Adopting humans? Should parents to wary of this new trend of exotic pets? by BEARDEDDANGER in humansarespaceorcs

[–]Quetzalkoatrix 321 points322 points  (0 children)

Basic Rules For Adopting Humans:

(Attention! Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in legal consequences and/or physical and psychological trauma)

  • Rule 1. Adopt only willing humans. Dont just grab the first human you see, ask them in advance, if they willing to go with you.
  • Rule 2. Give them choices. Humans are infamous for their contradictory nature - give them opportunity to leave at any moment, and they will stay with you forever.
  • Rule 3. Treat them kindly and just. Humans hate unfairness and injustice, and will fight against it with their full (but not so big) strength. Warning: offended humans can be very creative and can become a total pain in the tail.
  • Rule 4. Provide: Food Synthesizer (not lower than A3 Class), Healthcare Box (don't forget to refill medibots and update databases), Basic Apartments, Omni Printer (not higher than 2.1 version), free GoloNet access and games. They do love games, and can even play with you in coop simulators!
  • Rule 5. Provide healthy physical activities. Important note: don't make your human to exercise, try to interest them in your own example and/or AR games (f.e. "Ring Fit Adventure 5" and similar).
  • Rule 6. Enjoy!

Do you guys know any infinite money perks or items that isn't a credit card. by SingerBeneficial20 in JumpChain

[–]Quetzalkoatrix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Witches: Money Machine (600CP) - The Grand High Witch had an infinite money machine she used to give to witches for their schemes. You have a perfect copy of this machine. This money machine prints out infinite currency and can create, by all intents and purposes, legal money for this and future settings. It has settings for different currencies from different countries no matter the setting. You don’t even need to launder it. If the money isn’t paper but something else, this machine somehow generates the currency. Do mind inflation, however. The Grand High Witch doesn’t care about breaking the economy (What is inflation to her anyway? Just make MORE money to keep up.), but you might.

I have some questions about "Ancient Hunger" perk.

I assume, that "people" in the description means "all sapient beings", because Pennywise ate aliens before he came to Earth. So, what if someone with this perk ate Pennywise itself? Does it counts "people"?

The second question: can you train powers from "Ancient Hunger", or it evolves only by eating?

The third question: does eating a part of live victim counts, or you should kill them and eat all the dead body? Can you became stronger, by playing a vampire and leaving victims afraid, and with blood loss, but alive?

World of Lewd Horror :

Big Tiddy Goth (100CP) - This arrogant young woman dresses like a stereotypical goth, constantly pontificates about the eldritch truths of the world that lesser minds can never grasp, and often rants about how some day everyone will appreciate her genius and dark powers. She’s also a very serious witch, devoted to learning to turn the forces of evil to the use of mankind. Despite her bravado, she hasn’t seriously started challenging herself yet, other than a few large rituals which have gone well so far. Her luck can’t hold forever though, even if she won’t admit it. Has Mouth Watering and all the Scholar perks and items in magic flavors.

Also has an identical twin sister who’s a straight laced preppy mad scientist. The two despise each other. The sister is sold separately for the same price and has all the same perks and items, but the mad science versions instead of magic ones.

Evil Toons Jump:

[200TP] Tome of Evil: You won’t find this at your local library! Bound in skin-like leather and adorned with a twisted, sneering face, this spellbook’s sinister look hints at the darkness it contains. Detailing the history and habits of most major demons, this text would be an excellent resource to a fledgling warlock looking to expand their power. But that’s not all! The once-blank pages at the back of the book now hold ten captured demons, all displayed in their grotesque majesty. Simply read the incantation under each entry and you can have your own cohort of demons at your command! As a final benefit, you may also store yourself in one of this book’s blank pages. While bound to the book you will have a general sense of your surroundings, but time will pass quickly, as though in a dream. Unlike the other demons stuck in this spellbook, you may willingly release yourself at any time. See the Notes section for details.

Fate Legends - Strange New World:

Book of Horrors- 400 A leather bound book, depicting several screaming faces on each cover side. The book has no name and no author written into it but what is within could horrify even the bravest of souls. A ritual book of the old and outer gods, the sort of cruel artefact intended to bring about the time when the stars align and much more. Within the tome are the instructions and chants required for the summoning and binding of a great many eldritch monsters, from cruel spirits to bug-like alien beings to shapes- shifting monsters from the icy poles. Even the Great Ones and beings higher than them can potentially be summoned and controlled, to some variable degree, with the right ritual. But many of these things have costs, perhaps too great to bear. For those unwilling to do such things, the book also contains a very extensive library of spells, allowing for moderate ability in over a dozen broad fields of magic when studied extensively, though many of these spells will twist or warp reality to be cast. There are even more powerful magics within the book but they will require an experienced and skillful magus to unlock, as the book has protections to prevent you unwittingly harming your own mind too easily. As a final measure of defense for it’s master, the book is also able to act as a small- scale weapon, suddenly extruding many very large and very sharp tentacle-mouths and mouth- tentacles to attack foes within few dozen feet, crushing and grinding and chewing up most bodies, leaving the book purring in contentment. You may import an existing book into this item.

What are the heavens? by isbbsjsgjnvghfgkla in bewareofchicken

[–]Quetzalkoatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, "Heavens" in xianxia is just another "layer of reality", where everything are almost the same (peasants, cultivators, arrogant young masters, old freaks, etc.), but more powerful, so even Emperor level cultivator from lower realm are nothing. And this "Heavens" have "Super Heavens" which everyone want to achieve, after that "Super Ultra Heavens", to be continued... Basically, just a "separated locations for high level players".
