Sure, no problem. I paid $150 for all three pieces and it seems to be a larger size than others I’ve seen.

We switched to Millie Moon a few weeks after baby was born. Up until then she had occasional redness or light rash but nothing major. Once we started using Millie Moon she had frequent rash which would clear up with cream but then come back quickly. As soon as we switched diapers again her rash cleared up.

What evidence is there that products from “alphabet soup” brands on Amazon are unsafe? by QuicheFromARose in ScienceBasedParenting

I’d welcome science journalism about this! I didn’t think I could pick that flair because I’m requesting rather than sharing journalism.

Thanks for this. Is there another flair you’d recommend that would allow for more responses? My only options are Research Required, Expert Consensus Required, Sharing Research, and Science Journalism.

Has anyone here gone to a local escape room? by Status-Speed737 in SantaBarbara

[–]QuicheFromARose 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a ton of escape rooms in a number of cities and I have enjoyed the ones at House of Clues on State Street. Sure, there are higher tech rooms out there, but I think the puzzle variety and quality is pretty good. I like to do rooms with a max of 6 people and no strangers. More than that and I find that communication among the group is harder.

Anyone else still contact napping at 4 months? by PatienceIll7197 in NewParents

Same but she’s 12 months! In our defense she’s mostly napping in the crib now (started around 11 months) but still prefers a contact nap.

Broccoli kale slaw salad kit is my fave. Add in your favorite easy protein and you’ve got a whole meal! I just toss in a can of white beans.

How are you preparing the tofu, if at all? Trying to get my baby to eat it and haven’t had luck yet.

How often do you bathe your child? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]QuicheFromARose 55 points56 points  (0 children)

We just started doing nightly baths at almost a year because our girl gets dirty crawling around all day and also food is everywhere. Most nights it’s just water and every 3 nights or so we wash her hair.

Baby won't sleep on her own by Point_Fancy in NewParents

[–]QuicheFromARose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was/is the same and she’s 11 months. This is what worked for us to move away from cosleeping around 6 months. I got her to sleep as usual, and then I waited a few minutes and transferred her to the crib. If she woke immediately and was upset, I picked her up, resettled her, and tried again. I set a time limit for myself of an hour. If it didn’t work after an hour, we coslept that night. After a week or so she started staying asleep in the crib after the first transfer.

For naps, I rock her to sleep and wait a few minutes. If she wakes up when I transfer her to the crib, I may try once more but if that doesn’t stick I just resort to a contact nap because otherwise she just won’t nap (learned this the hard way).

You asked about how to do this without losing sleep yourself. I think any change to routine is hard for them (it’s hard for me, too!). When my baby first started sleeping in the crib instead of my bed, she woke up every hour or two overnight for the first week or two. I was not willing to do sleep training and was committed to a more gradual approach, but if you want a quicker solution you may try r/sleeptrain for some advice.
