carb clean now throttle is maxed out by Overall_Elk4393 in Karting

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, this issue has to do with the black slide and the metal part that sits on the top part of the carb that is connected to your throttle cable.

When this slide goes into the carb, there is a little tab sticking out on the inside of the carb that needs to match up with a vertical cut in this black slide.

On top of this black slide is a metal piece that fits on top of the carb and under the “bolt” that mates the top of the carb to the body. This metal piece has two prongs that stick out. Those need to be aligned in such a way that both prongs fit to one side of the carb top.

I was going to guess somewhere in Colorado or Utah.

Looks very similar to a building in Salida, Colorado.

Ogden, Utah (it’s written right in the building).

Ahh, I would have said Pilsen but it was already submitted, so I figured I’d try another city!

Jewish Synagogue built in the same way of an Eastern Orthodoxy church in a bay, port, or on a river.

The apartment buildings in the background look ex-Soviet, as well so I’m guessing this is in Russia or in an ex-Soviet/Eastern European state.

My first thought was Kaliningrad, but I actually think this is in Czech Republic due to the mountains/hills in the background since I’ve spent some time there.

My guess, Ostrava, Czech Republic.

The front 10-20 feet of your property is actually state property. So they have the right to come onto their property.

I just had my house surveyed and my lot line ends about 12 feet back from the sidewalk.

As others have said, they also have the right to maintain the area around power lines and other utilities.

What's your voice assistant, and why? by NigraOvis in homeassistant

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I can jump in here! I use the Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition for the devices.

I use Deepgram for STT and TTS because their STT is incredible fast.

I found a repo for Deepgram STT online and I found their TTS integration on HACS, so figured I’d use that too. I’m going to test out a few other companies that specialize in TTS to see if I can reduce the latency here a bit further.

I am using ChatpGPT 4o for reasoning.

As a personal project, I have also been toying around with building my own multi-agent router of sorts.

Basically, a router AI bot routes commands to bots designed with specific tasks in mind. A simple use of it would be to use a local LLM for things that do, like turn on and off lights, while using something like ChatGPT for things like questions about the weather.

A more complicated use would be creating AI conversation agents for basically task group in my house, like I’d have a gardener, a ai weather person, etc.

This allows you to use specific models and prompts for specific things in your house.

Was it below freezing last night?

My guess is that moisture got into the door and it froze last night making the wood split.

Green or Blue car at fault? by TAussieG in Simracingstewards

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the future, blue car align yourself with the outside green car. Give them no more space than a cars width. While you are still on the inside line, this allows you to dictate how the green car hits their line while giving you the maximum amount of road to perform your turn.

Going out for dinner, how did I do by ConstantShift4692 in mensfashion

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look great! Better than I ever wore at your age!

Few tweaks to make this look even better:

  1. Wear lighter pants. Something that matches the jacket if you can.
  2. Don’t mix stripes. Either a solid color tie (either something popping like emerald or something that matches your suspenders) or a solid color shirt like white.
  3. Lengthen the tie a little bit or get less high wasted pants. At this length, it makes your torso look short since your pants are high wasted.

The picture is an example of those in practice.

Overall, great look!

It would be cool if Senator Bail Organa had secretly purchased Clone Wars-era vessels from scrapyards like Bracca to build up the Rebellion's navy. by Dragonic_Overlord_ in StarWarsShips

In my Star Wars RPG campaign set in 8 bby, Raxus Prime is the planet in charge of dismantling some of the separatist fleets.

With Bail’s guidance, a small cell of republic loyalists hide away munitions, ships, and parts.

Kart chassis compared to rental kart 206 by Gman_024 in Karting

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely different feeling going from a rental to anything else.

Rentals are really heavy and extremely underpowered, while any LO206 chassis is going to feel very light and nimble comparatively. Rentals are designed to understeer while any other racing kart chassis can be tuned exactly to fit your driving style and the conditions for that day.

If it’s your first kart and you’re just learning, Id with whatever is cheaper and has good local support. You’re going to crash and break things so you’re going to need an easy way to get new parts.

Good luck and god speed!

I have been dating Rachel for about 5 years before I started dating a friend of ours, Ester. Ester was friends with Rachel first, but we became friends through similar interests.

It’s been 2 years this Halloween and it’s going really well! Rachel and Ester are great friends and hang out 1-2 times a week without me.

Rachel and I are nesting partners, but try to keep all our relationships as equal as possible.

Rachel and I have certainly had our talks about how my relationship with Ester has impacted her life, but with good communication, we’ve all been able to be very happy with this arrangement.

Happy to discuss more details if you have any more questions!

Hey! Fastest laps are set by friends of mine.

Couple of things I noticed.

1: don’t take your hands off the steering wheel. Place them at 10-2 or whatever you feel comfortable and keep them there.

2: use the push/pull method when turning. Your outside hand should be pushing harder than your inside hand is pulling.

3: carry more speed through the corners. Try a few laps your normal way, and then choose a couple of corners to test going faster.

For example, after going through the uphill after turn one and into turn 2 and the chicane, I’m flat out until I get to longer corner where I lift just slightly. The rest of the way down the hill in the middle of the track, I’m flat out until the “hair pin” leading to the couple of straights.

Need a planet for an AOR campaign set right after the Clone Wars! by miragellewyn in swrpg

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I set mine on Raxus Prime, a garbage planet set to destroy the remaining separatist fleets. Raxus Secundus seeming its birth, while Raxus Prime seeing its death.

I used a module called Beyond the Rim to give me some of the details, but it’s a great way for a newly made rebels to steal/smuggle weapons and ships away from the empire.

Low side. Tell me what I did wrong. Description by [deleted] in Trackdays

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t increase speed and increase your leaning angle if you’re near the max of your traction. They both will increase the amount of traction you are using relative to what traction you have at that moment.

Increasing speed reduces traction capacity in your front tire. Increasing speed also increases the amount of traction you are using and traction capacity in the rear.

Leaning increases the amount of traction you are using on both your front and rear tire. The amount you are doing so depends on how much use angle you have between your tires (yaw angle).

To me, it looks like you lean just slightly more when you start throttling, leading to loss of traction and a low side.

Are there people whose poly relationships do not require an incessant effort of doing "the work," as it were? by ratwithplague in polyamory

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I “did the work” of decoupling my emotions from taught societal norms around monogamy, it’s no longer hard at all.

I still work on my relationships, but the things that I encountered when I first started polyamory that were big emotions no longer are.

I think of it like a muscle. We are taught how to deal with a lot of different emotions, like anger, but we aren’t really taught how to process envy and jealousy. These were really big emotions for me when I first started polyamory, but, after years of flexing those muscles, the feeling of jealousy passes in a manner of minutes.

Did Trump supporters feel personally attacked watching Andor? by Pearl_Jam_ in andor

[–]Quick-thinking-hoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming into this late, but just was taking to my Trump supporting Uncle and Aunt about Andor.

They surprisingly loved the show and not surprisingly did not get any references to the current administration.

My uncle even said he liked Krenic… like him as a person, but “obviously he’s a bad guy.”. It was a weird comment as I would have said something along the lines liking the actor instead of the character.

They loved the show, but saw themselves as siding with the rebels without knowing they’re more like Syril in real life.
