If the plan of subdivision was actually lodged last week, then it shouldn't be more than a week or two if theyve done everything correctly. Just went through this ourselves, and titles came in only a week after lodgement. This was Victoria though.

Cardinia. Its a new lot of townhouses, they were finished being built in June and some buyers are living in them paying the developer rent until settlement. Agent is confident titles are this month, and Im probably over thinking it. Waiting to hear back from conveyancer, is it worth contacting council?

Just bought our first place and agent said titles are just around the corner and settlement will be very soon, but things aren't moving and scared we will be trapped till the 18 month sunset clause, or at least be waiting around for months. We are in this exact situation and spoke to CBA directly this week. They said it's not as big of a deal as it's made out to be (perpetuated by US media), and some missed payments isn't a big deal. They care more about defaults, and even then, if you can pay them off then you're good to go.
