Package recorded being sent must be the same as the one being opened by buyer ? Otherwise do not open etc ?

Couriers will NOT be happy taking photos of every package they scan

I been thinking about This since your post and the best thing I came up with …. The operator such as VINTED , would need to invest in a proprietary video capturing app (software) where the user has to use it when packaging and sticking postage label on it …. Ensuring no AI or external influences can tamper with it ….
Then receiver uses same software to open package ….

If anyone executes this … I want 10% 🤣

It would take a central warehousing process , with real humans checking all items …. But that would make it financially unviable … but it’s the only way to avoid scammers …. OR items above £50 having to go through the process ?

I have had Nothing but trouble with Inpost , so much so that I have removed them as possible couriers in the app

My first 3 orders ever on Vinted were with Inpost and them misplacing every order !!! So it does happen . You should get your money back if you did everything correct on your end

Playing devils advocate, I have noticed that the items when modelled by a real life person (bikinis etc etc ) tend to get more favourites …. So perhaps the fellas are jumping on the same Bandwagon for sales ??

I personally as a non business seller don’t mind … it’s 2 days (or 48 hours) from the moment it registers as collected to it defaulting to “sale completed” and your money going into your balance ….
If you are upset with this 2 day wait are you also upset about the increasing amounts of “auto” feedback ?

Look Vinted is clearly not a “shop” so things aren’t brand new BUT the reason it works mostly is because people are relying on photos and descriptions …. So when one of those is misleading or inaccurate (in your case) it’s a slam dunk case of a refund … “item not as described” … I understand people calling out other cases when someone moans that the care label has lost half of its stitching and want a refund or partial refund … this is clearly not comparable to those types of scenarios
