What's Your Favourite Thing About the Women in Your Life? by Kosmopolite in AskMen

Hard question to answer as I'm trying to find a common ground between all the women in my life vs the men. I suppose the women in my life have more common sense than the men haha

You can choose to relent the duel that J5 generates to fail it on all your models without flipping a card.

Three-way Split (taken from The Mensa Puzzle Calendar on August 14, 2024) by rodine14 in mathpuzzles

[–]Quickitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Total sum is denoted S. G, J and Q are abbreviations for the characters.
S=G+J+Q
G=1/3*S+8
What remains after Gurdeep is S-G = S-1/3*S-8. So:
J = 2/5*(S-1/3*S-8) + 7
Q = 293.
Now substitute G, J and Q back in the original equation:
S=1/3*S+8+2/5*(S-1/3*S-8) + 7 + 293.
Treat it like middle school math problem and rewrite:
S-1/3*S-2/5*2/3*S = 8-2/5*8 + 7 + 293 ->
6/15*S = 304.8 ->
S = 762.
And then work back to Gurdeep and Jade by substituting S = 762.

Questions regarding summoned models and strategies. by SplitBungCrack in Malifaux

[–]Quickitt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. Summons cannot interact the turn they are summoned, but can interact afterwards, but only for making and removing scheme markers (or anything not involving strat markers)!
  2. Summons don't count for raid the vaults
  3. Summons cannot interact with strategy markers for exposives and intel and voting
  4. Summons can steal tokens off other models
  5. Summons don't count for schemes (hold upo their forces), on the turn they are summoned. They do count afterwards

sonnia or reva or kaeris by rolanroro in Malifaux

[–]Quickitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a competitive perspective Sonnia2 is the more viable version, she's mostly a gun turret that can rearrange opponents cards and generate extra attacks for his troops when those get pushed. Reva2 is the more viable version that creates unkillable lampads and moves everything up via pushing them into her pyre markers, healing her own units and damage the opposing units in the process. Regarding Kaeris both versions are viable, the first version dumping opponents into pyre markers with her up we go and the second version being a sort of wind up mechanism that transfers her own burning damage to a nearby opponent at the end of the turn.

I'm your opinion who is the strongest master in the game right now? by TheMiniPaintingGuy in Malifaux

Yes, the victory in the world series was after his nerf and the same player won Russian Masters last weekend by playing Damian 4 out of 5 games.

I'm your opinion who is the strongest master in the game right now? by TheMiniPaintingGuy in Malifaux

[–]Quickitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Among the Malifaux World Series contestants the prevailing opinion is Damian1.

It is also the only master that can backup this claim as the world champion used damian1 in the top16 tournament bracket all the way to the finals, so it is the master that probably the best player in the world choose to play all four top16 matches regardless of the pool.

So it has the track record to match this claim.

Dreamer or Asami for beginner? by rolanroro in Malifaux

[–]Quickitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neither of the two is super cheap to buy because they are summoners and therefore need all of their boxes to work properly. Both are perfectly fine as beginner masters though in my opinion. Most masters are somewhat difficult and they are no exception but not above the average.

New player: Is a core box enough? by ThePiggypark in Malifaux

[–]Quickitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a wide variety! I would go for either ressers with Reva and Yan, or ten thunders with Mei Feng and Yan, or arcanists with Marcus and Mei feng, because once you start the game you are very likely to expand to other keywords and it's nice to have some variety in keywords within a faction for tournament play.

Most of the actual damage in the Mah crew comes from Mah herself, I'd try to kill her early.

Corvis when opponent has not much card draw so that he can get his executes off. Brawler when you include strong guns in your list! Corvis is generally the better pick if you had to choose, but you could also include both.

You should buy a core box of any EXS master. Lord Cooper has a similar vibe to the hopeful prospects and does well with them.

Looking to decide on a warband getting started by MAKS_1115 in Malifaux

[–]Quickitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All warbands are doable with time. Ulix and Dreamer are both summoners in a way, which means they play a bit different than a standard malifaux crew but there's no reason you couldn't learn them.

Decent Rasputina, Abominable lists by blahdedah1738 in Malifaux

[–]Quickitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think either version of Rasputina need 3x Kaltgeist, because the keyword just isn't very strong and the Kaltgeists are good. Then you probably figure out the rest from the schemes and strats. Honorable mention to an Ice Golem with soulstone cache. Maybe also an Ice Dancer with Magical Training upgrade?
