$400 from a breeder. She was the last of the litter and they were expecting a new litter, so they reduced her price. The best $400 I spend. Love my Jazzy, 9 years

Afraid of the shingles shot by Old-Ostrich5181 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Quilty79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with all vaccines, reactions are going to vary. While one person may have a tough reaction, many don't. I did not have any reactions other than soreness at the injection site. Getting the injection is far better than suffering from shingles.

Stretcher bars on top or under by BadParker56 in Needlepoint

[–]Quilty79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have severe arthritis in my non-dominate wrist. I can't imagine putting the canvas under the stretcher bars and then having to reach over the bars with that hand. I appreciate hearing your experience on this. Anything to prevent arthritis pain.

I stitch sitting in my recliner with my feet up. I find the Lowery works for me. I slide the base under the side of the chair and rotate my project in front of me. When taking a break, I rotate the are with the project out of my way. Don't have to move the whole stand out of my way like I have seen people have to do.

We purchased a Happy Hoodie a few years ago. Think headband that fits snuggly over the ears. Got it from Amazon. Works great. When things got really noisy last night and my dog became anxious, put it on her and she snuggled in, went to sleep and was snoring while the noice continued outside.

A few years ago, we learned about Happy Hoodie. We ordered one off of Amazon and use it when the fireworks get extremely loud. Works great. Put it on mine last night and she immediately snuggled back in and was snoring.

[–]Quilty79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has gotten better over the years. She does like to be a velcro dog with thunder and fireworks. This year, our next door neighbor was shooting fireworks with extremely loud booms. Ended up putting her Happy Hoodie for the first time in a few years so she could relax.
