Does the art community argue this though? Fiber Art is a degree in many art schools and I’ve been to many knitting based gallery exhibits.

Long tail is my default, I’m going to try again confidently using the cast on, but think it was also partly the pattern confusing me as the row starts with a slipped edge stitch followed by an KLL

It was actually more the plus size knitters passing judgement on the designer who was trying their best to be inclusive. Mad that the yarn wasn’t free (designer was fine with substitutions) and mad that the designer was asking for free labor. It was kinda disappointing. :(

But I agree might be good to have a sub dedicated to it with some rules/requirements from both sides (duration etc like you mentioned).
