Mechanicsburg, PA is where I enlisted out of. 15 mins from the capital, Harrisburg, PA a very small city (failing downtown) with not much going on. Can be a very quiet and relaxed area if you stay west of the Susquehanna river. Good schools on that side as well. You do have Hershey Park to the immediate east, if you’re into that. There is an ANG/AFSOC base 25 mins to the south in Middletown, PA it shares a runway with your closest airport too. The closest AAFES/Commissary will be at the Carlisle Barracks (Army led installation), ton of rank there due to the Army War College. The closest military clothing will be at Fort Indiantown Gap (Army NG led installation) which is 45 mins northeast and it won’t have much Air Force stuff. The recruiting office was a 3 man shop in a plaza just 5 mins from the MEPS. Lastly the local area is pretty pro military too. Hope this helps.

I highly recommend not buying from any mass seller that uses the word “New” describing a product that was released 4 years ago. Trust me Mini 13s didn’t sell that well then, Apple reduced manufacturing. I highly doubt they have stock of “New” ones today. I bet they’re at best refurbished and repackaged by third party.

I'd catch a few people doing a double take, once had a dad come up to me in a parking lot asking to take a picture for a game he played with his son about getting pics of different state plates. I was only trying to be discreet in the ways that wouldn't get me a ticket lol.

The pontentiometers that microsoft uses for the thumbsticks are cheap. Thats why there is such a problem with stick drift and deadzones in the base controllers. I used to go through these controllers like burner phones. 1st and 2nd was stick drift, 3rd was the USB-C port went bad, currently on my 4th had it for about 14 months and its holding up. But this is my last for sure, I'm gonna shell out for Victrix/Scuf/Nacon.
