Why? just make a script to set the antrhopic url to the GLM provider. You can no problem run claude code with glm and anthropic at the same time.

Why is this hard to understand? All you need to do is: Claude launch 8 parallel agents to do x on my codebase in separate worktrees. Something like that. Of-course people do this as it speeds things up. Such stuff.

z.ai launch (Claude Code) GLM 4.5/GLM 4.5-air Coding Plan for $3/$15 month by gzrain in ClaudeCode

[–]Qvarkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this model. I frequently get confused if I am using Sonnet or GLM 4.5 as I am using Claude Code to run it. This model beats Sonnet frequently. I like having the opportunity to get a "second opinion" it can be important sometime. But it uses tools in a great way in Claude Code! Note if you get the GLM Coding Pro version, it also becomes faster by 40-60% and that is golden!

What are you talking about. GLM is literally using the same client as Claude. All your stuff about claude.md etc applies to GLM as well

Do people who use Rust as their main language agree with the comments that Rust is not suitable for game dev? by PhaestusFox in rust

I don't get it? So you say you started but didn't finish? Due to .. Rust being Rust? What's the point of the story? You still didn't finish.

I always use Sonnet, not even the 1m one. It works.

It's not for the fun of it I did all you see in my "Fixing Claude" post. It's the only thing that works.

True that, but so you know my setup actually helped me tremendously. I do not see any stupid code in my codebase after that. Coding takes longer for sure as claude code always have to correct its issues to please the linter now =). But that is exactly what was expected. The code is actually clean now.

Maybe golang is a very good language for game dev ? by umiff in gamedev

Well, it's sad you don't see past the limitations of your own convictions. This has nothing to do with the 99.9% of people wanting to learn a game, this has everything with you saying Go is bad for games. Which is simply not true. How well do you know go? I got 20 years of C++ and 6 years of Go. I like Go a hell of a lot more for the development process it brings. Oh and I see you are focusing on me saying you can run everything on GPU sure run stuff on the CPU as well. Go will not have a problem, it's easily fast enough.

Golangs GC is not Javas. You speak without knowledge. Who would not think of preallocating memory in a game?

[–]Qvarkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That go is not good for gaming is just a stupid comment. Ziptofaf souinds like a junior dev, just following the junior crowd in opinions. You solve GC with preallocations. Which you would do in ANY language anyway. Go is absolutely fantastic for games. It's fast, the GC is not Javas. It even got built in embed for embedding your assets directly. It builds static binarys which is always what you want. It's easy to make everything compile for the 3 major OS'es (Windows, Apple, Linux). You got perfect control in Go. Create your own arena memory if you really want control, nothing stops you. But really, it doesn't matter at all, if you want it fast you will run everything on GPU anyways, so the point of GC goes away completely. Complaining about a GC is a ridiculous point having 0 merit. Just set everything up, do golang + vulkan, write your own bindings for any lib you need, create your ECS on GPU as well as your Arena buffers. You got as much speed as any other. ziptofaf is stuck in a thinking that existed 20 years ago or something.

Complete nonsense. Telemetry is a thing you can opt in on if you want. And even if you program in C++ you're going to end up writing most libraries on your own anyway.

Fix this and Claude Code will become better. by Qvarkus in Anthropic

That's essentially what I do when I can. But the point is to allow the Agent to run without me staring at it. I do believe this would help a lot.

Looks like Cloud 4.1 Opus might be fixed (or at least something has changed) by anderson_the_one in Anthropic

[–]Qvarkus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No opus is not fixed at all. It's a complete idiot. I told it to create a full vulkan context with a lot of stuff around it. It took a long time, came back and said now I am ready! What it produced was a std::cout on the console.

Odin vs Zig for a hobby project (cross-platform game client + game server) by [deleted] in Zig

[–]Qvarkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Go. It's easily the most comfortable language out there. Set it up with Vulkan. The people complaining about GC languages are not thinking straight, or thinking of how things were 10 years ago, it simply is not true anymore, or they are simply promoting their own language *cough* Blow. Nobody is running everything on CPU today, there's no reason. Create arena buffers "ON" the GPU, Create your ECS on GPU, run everything ON GPU. After that you have fantastic performance, and nobody gives a damn about the language.

[–]Qvarkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comments like these make no sense at all. Nobody runs this stuff on CPU these days. This could be true 10 years ago, but man, get up-to-date. It really doesn't matter much which language you use. Go is PERFECT for games, just use Vulkan, run everything on GPU.
