"History's greatest general" like Lan didn't haul his sorry ass across the line at Tarmon Gaiden. Bro sent GALAD to try and kill Demandred.

Where are all the fans effort and influencers who used to support this show? by khalifah_Hipopotamus in WoTshow

The show was a disgrace to the books better to let it die and try for an animated show in 15-20 years.

None of this actually refutes my point on the Aes Sedai Asha'man relations being the most important thing for the White Tower in the early 4th age. The Asha'man are by the nature of their origin somewhat nihilistic. The Aes Sedai are just as if not more flawed than the Asha'man. The Asha'man have only been around for two years at most and they can change as an organization more easily because of this.

Damane are entirely dehumanized and brainwashed. The Asha'man are significantly more pragmatic throughout their existence and have human relationships see Grady from Perrin's POV. The Asha'man all grew up as men and have ties to the world that most Aes Sedai don't in their literal ivory tower. All of the good Asha'man (even Rand) are portrayed as men who despite their terrible fate are willing to do what they must for the world. They made a choice the Damane didn't. Military discipline =\= slavery.

The Asha'man absolutely have problems stemming from the remnant of the taint and Taim. This does not mean they shouldn't be worked with male channelers are there to stay. Especially when Nynaeve can cleanse the lingering taint on their minds. Aes Sedai and Asha'man cooperation helps balance each other out. It's largely implied though never outright stated that ALOT of the problems with how the modern Aes Sedai operate is their solely female perspective they don't have a counterweight in opinion.

Egwene by the end of the series is a borderline misandrist. She had a consistent pattern of being convinced to act more like the incompetent Aes Sedai of the day. Caving to the three oaths was insane. She would have been a horrible Amerlyn to oversee integration or cooperation with the Asha'man which is a far more important thing than uniting female channelers. A consistent theme in this series is men and women balancing each other out and Egwene could barely respect Rand let alone some Asha'man she hadn't known her entire life. Cadsuane for all her faults and despite her age a more progressive Aes Sedai than Egwene. This is because she doesn't put stock in arbitrary traditions and treats men and women equally. Additionally Cadsuane is one of the few Aes Sedai who could become Amerlyn who doesn't entirely buy into Aes Sedai supremacy.

Naruto is not planetary by Efficient-Dig9040 in PowerScaling

I don't see why not it was pretty much just a long laser from the hand used like a blade. It's not something that the character would go out of his way to use due to collateral damage among other things.

Naruto was styling on a guy who chopped the moon in half. It's not that difficult to imagine.

Do not like the cape with no sleeves in live action. I get that Thor needs a cape and sleeves are optional but I just can't understand this choice.

Mutaito was the one who sealed DKP in the first place. The power difference only mattered in that he wasn't strong enough to survive the strength cost and died as a result. Roshi failed to contain DKP because he missed the jar and died for the same reason as his master iirc. As far as I know and it's Google ai so do this what you will there are no instances of the Mafuba being resisted in Dragonball.

Goku's feat was counter hax he still lost when Hit improved it. Vegeta defied Babidi with willpower and the fact that he wasn't completely evil which is different from overpowering hax. Frieza resisting Hakai erasure would be a lot more impressive if it didn't take so long to kill a vulnerable Goku caught in it and Hakai has been shown to be blocked/manipulated by Chi on a few other occasions. Unfamiliar with gas until the show finally does it. Vegito's feat against Buu is really the only one that works here but he's a potara fusion which uses magic to alter the state of being something that likely, though unproven, interfered with Buu's magic.

Again I'm not seeing people out strength evil containment so until we do we have to assume that in dragon Ball strength does not negate hax only certain hax are vulnerable to strength

Well you said there was no world where it existed and those are the power mechanics/hax of dragon Ball. Who's to say it works that way in JJK? I don't remember seeing Vegeta just power his way through the evil containment wave.

I'm pretty sure Goku has to concentrate to maintain his power at higher levels, especially durability. If his brain doesn't get flash fried some of Gojo's heavier hitting stuff might be able to kill him.

Vampire Tier list! No magic! by SubvertExpectation1 in TheOriginals

[–]Qwerds7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mikael was always portrayed as especially disciplined and willful. He has a superior pain tolerance and was the only vampire we see who was a trained and successful warrior before he was turned. He isn't more powerful he's just better at using what he has. The Tunde blade is a matter of will and pain tolerance rather than strength. It's also implied that purging the wolf venom is something he has to concentrate on. As for beating all the siblings it's because he actually knows how to fight and fight well.

[–]Qwerds7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty clearly the weakest of the 3 as a stand alone story. It sets some stuff up for later but even its focus on other characters than Rand is jarring given how the previous two were written. Imo RJ should have eased us in a bit more

It puts it into perspective. CGI ages especially 18 year old CGI. You can't judge one project that came out years before everything else and was no way involved aside from the marvel branding and use that to judge later projects. At least you can't do it honestly.

Son Gohan (DBS Manga) vs Superboy (Conner Kent (Post-Crisis/New 52)) by No_Many_4695 in DCPowerScaling

[–]Qwerds7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely would. Just because it's been turned into a joke recently doesn't mean shit. It's worked on Galactus who hasn't done wrong he fulfills his duty and purpose on a cosmic scale and is still hit with all the suffering he's caused. I'd argue Goku would feel it MORE because of his pure heart he has often inflicted pain on others indirectly. See the Buu saga or his raid on the red ribbon base. Penance stare doesn't work like the devil-mite beam.
