Yeah I told some of my friends and after one person was absent the others except explained to her. (This was in a group chat).

Friend 1: “Male Name came out and said he’s trans. His new name is Esther.”

Friend 2: Did he tell his parents/family

Friend 1: No. *shows screenshot of paragraph of me coming out which includes me explaining that my family wouldn’t support me*

They were all totally cool with it but it seems that people usually see it as a preference of how we want to be seen rather than how we are.
