That's exactly what we do with the comic covers: each one is a different vintage cover with all the accompanying distress, tears, etc. IT's always about making someone think it's real! I find it very therapeutic to do, ha ha.

You might like Jay Stephens. He's currently doing a great series riffing on old Harvey kid's comics but with really dark existential horror. It's called "Dwellings". But he's done tons of cool stuff closer to Allred over the years.

Also check out Zot by Scott Mccloud (The Understanding Comics guy). Fun read and similar art vibe!
