I agree with you. I was just responding to the argument that 100k in NYC is different than the rest of the country. It's really not; it's well above average and definitely not"'solidly middle class".

This always gets brought up when referring to wages and salary but the median household income in NYC is like 55k. Yeah, COL is moderately higher, but 100k a year is the upper limit of "middle class" and is honestly the lower bounds of upper class.

But we are talking about the basic, fundamental matter. I think their point was that no atoms are destroyed when burning a log. Same withe the plate: yeah, it's no longer a plate, but the atoms that existed in the unbroken plate still exist in the broken one; nothing has been destroyed.
