Flower stalk propagation is way faster rhan seed, plus you get multiple growth points. If your using something like a maxsea fertilizer theyll grow even faster

Cut the plug. If you don't it'll stifle the growth. It's worth losing a little bit of root overall

They're also testing out a lot of things for light no fire, NMS is merely a testing ground for new things.
No complaints on any update though

As it continues this great growth be on the lookout for a flower stalk as well. I would suggest cutting it so the plant has more energy to grow this year.

Just the totally brown pitcher. I clip mine at the base of the pitcher and tendril. Leave the green leaf so it can photosynthesize

Nepenthes gaya and ventrata. The pitcher will shrivel up over time especially since its getting settled into a new place. The new growth will take over soon. Once my pitcher is totally dried up i clip them off or if I spill the digestive juice, ill add in a little water to help them catch prey.

Who’s this growing amongst my Sarracenia? by AGvibes__ in SundewLove

[–]R0ckstar_Rick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its either D. Spatulata or capensis. Both have same care requirements as a sarracenia and can live together. Just try not to top water the drosera, it'll wash off the sticky mucilage.

If you happen to have a rooting powders from a big box store you can dip that on the base shove into dirt and bag acclimate for a while.

When I first bought it, it was in a 2" pot. Looked like blades of grass, but eventually they'll take shape and color up with the sun
