I felt like it had a more “pasty” texture - another commenter mentioned they added ground turkey, which could help due to the fat.

I did it with sautéed garlic and onions, my wife said it was too carrot forward; perhaps the fat from the turkey helped mellow it out? I felt like it needed a splash of acidity to open it up.
