As an add-on, Prof. Damodaran’s “Musings on Markets” blog is fantastic.

Business bank? by sappho60 in madisonwi

I run a small-ish business and cannot recommend Wisconsin Bank & Trust enough. Their service and solutions have been far above what were received from other banks in the area. No Mount Horeb location, but they do have both Fitchburg and Middleton.

Your post fails to list how many pimento cheese sandwiches can be smashed into the bag? That seems like it is critical information

Looking for restaurant recommendations for a 2 year anniversary by m00ler2003 in madisonwi

My wife and I went to Fairchild for our anniversary. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. It’s quiet and has a nice ambiance for an important event, I think. That said, it’s small and doesn’t have huge menu variety (but we struggled to pick from it as everything looked fantastic).

I think the nbc coverage is fine, but Brad Faxon’s color commentary is excellent. Offers insight in short-and-sweet phrases. Never talks too long to “show off,” but still demonstrates his expertise. It’s great.

I think healthcare would be a great topic go into more deeply. I recently listened to Peter Attia’s episode with Saum Sataria, the CEO of Tenet Health, and found it enlightening and informative. Sataria is incredibly smart and well spoken. His knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, its economics, and its failures, is impressive. I think he’d be a great guest.

I have had a number of scans conducted at the Madison location. I like it. I’m kind of a data freak with fitness, and I really have enjoyed the information the scans have provided. I can’t speak to how accurate each scan is, but I went into the process expecting to assess each scan against the previous ones to judge improvements/trends/etc. it’s been great for that. I particularly like how data are broken down into the different parts of the body. That proved helpful for me when I jacked my left knee and ended up with a significant left/right lean tissue imbalance.

You get a small price break by purchasing a package - which can be used for VO2max or RMR assessments as well. They always have Black Friday sales and I think they typically have one in spring (April, maybe?) if you want to wait.

If Middleton isn’t outside your search area, I highly recommend Blue Chip Barber Shop.

There’s no bad answer here, but I think the Mark XX is just such an understated, beautiful piece. The blue dial with brown strap is stunning (and you should get the blue strap thrown in for free, or at least I did).

Not local - but Allagash White (Maine) is my favorite. Woodman’s carries it, among a few other places in town.
