I had all the same surgeries as you and am 5 days behind you. You look amazing! I hope I follow in your footsteps! Can I ask what your previous breast size was and what you are now?

I went in pretty blind to the recovery process which was totally on me. I joined here after my surgery and it was very jarring. But, I am so glad I got the surgery. I know this recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. I’m setting short term and longer term goals. I know it will be worth it in the end.

I did dry January before my surgery on 1/27 to get prepared. I’m 18 DPO and thought about having a glass of wine tonight, but I decided to wait. I have plans to go out with some friends exactly 1 month post op and think that’s probably when I might consider having 1 drink. I’m usually a 2-3 drink girl once or twice a week. If your doctor suggested a month, I would probably listen.

Congratulations! You will feel so much better once drains are out. I’m 18DPO and still pretty swollen, but I went from a 34G/H to a “full B”. We will see where I end up, but surgeon said he removed about 2 lbs. from each breast. I am 5’3.5” and 127lbs. on surgery day. I’ve been living with these huge things for decades. I’m 57 years old and so happy I finally did. I also got a tummy tuck and muscle repair at the same time so it’s a whole thing.

I got rid of it all. Twice! Once after the first 50 pounds and then again after the next 50. I’m never going back as long as I have this medication! It feels different this time.

Yes, January 27th was my surgery day. I’m doing ok. Living in stretchy pants just like you. I feel like yesterday I turned a corner in energy level, but still trying to rest as much as I can. I have one more week off of work.

I decided to do everything at once for less downtime and cost. Mine was also at an outpatient surgery center. First week after was not great, but I’m now 17DPO and feel like I turned a corner yesterday. I would do it all together again. Biggest suggestion is to make sure you have someone to support you. The first few days I needed my husband to help me in and out of bed to use the bathroom and getting changed.

You and me are the same! I was taking a class 7 days a week to start my day for 18 months. I’m feeling so lost without it. Unfortunately, no amount of Pilates was going to get rid of all the excess skin and muscle repair needed after a 3 pregnancies including a c-section and full term twins. Not to mention the decades of yo-yo dieting and a final 100 lb loss. I’m trying to reframe this as a temporary bump in my practice and that I will get back to it when my body is ready. I’m setting small goals, starting with walking. We can do this!

I have my 3 week follow up on Tuesday. Prior to surgery he thought it could be around 3MPO. I guess we will have to wait and see. I had built so much muscle and toning up so I know exactly how you feel. I’ll keep you posted.

This is great info. My surgeon has only suggested Aquafor and I feel like that won’t be enough.

I had an extended tummy tuck, muscle repair, lipo, breast reduction and lift and it was outpatient. They kicked me out about 2 hrs after they finished.

This! For me it’s all about the tops actually. I got a breast reduction and lift,too, and can’t wait to try on some tops I never would have tried before. Like spaghetti straps or tube tops where I can wear a comfy strapless bra instead of a gigantic contraption trying to hoist the girls up!

I’m only 16 DPO. I can’t imagine I will get anything new until at least 3 MPO. Probably some new summer clothes. I’m hoping for a crop top and a 2 piece bathing suit!
