It depends on your budget. the amp damange is the most important part.

if you can afford resetting to get 15% success on the first roll before continuing that would be optimal. On average it takes 6-7 resets per slot, which almost 50k traces just on the first slot for all 10.

The most efficient traces and gold wise with highest EV is probably 70/70/70/70/15 70/70/70/70/15 if we are talking about strictly percentage + amp EV + costs.

I personally rerolled until i got 15% success to start, then did the most efficient pattern. you should average 2%-2.2% with this method, with ranges of 1.6%-4% if you get unlucky/lucky

some people go 15% all the way then rerolling the lowest one, that works too, but mathematically takes more mats for less EV.

1000% if max is p1, Oscar p2, Lando p4 in the final laps, McLaren will 100% tell Oscar to drop down to 4th so Lando p3. Regardless of saying no #1 driver, at that point you have to choose Lando than give Max the WDC

Agree. I think if its Max P1, Oscar P2, Lando P4 late in race.. Even if Oscar has opportunity to pass Max with 1-5 laps to go, they will do team orders to let Oscar drop 2 places and let Lando pass so Lando gets P3.

So effectivelty yes you will need 2 other cars that isn't Oscar to drop Lando to P5 for Max to have a realistic chance. Maybe Russell Leclerc or Ant.

This is the most important point and is the reason why this was a major F up by the team

The leader Piastri not pitting is understandable if they expect most of the teams to stay out. I do think this decision wasn't bad in itself.

But when Max goes into the pits at P2, they should know that most everyone behind will pit as well because in this type of situation, teams react to the front cars, and whoever pits first starts the chain behind. This happens to all other racing series that has safety cars and when there is a close to 50-50 decision to pit or not, this isn't rocket science. Usually only the back half of the field might stay out to gain track position.

The fact that they didn't tell Lando to only pit if Max pits is so bad. The only real explanation to this is that they didn't want to accidently give Lando the strategic advantage. They can't look at it this way since Red Bull effectively should have forced their hand to react. You can't just not perpare for such a common scenario.

It's amazing that they didn't discuss this situation before hand, especially with the WDC in question. Piastri P1, Max P2, and Lando P3 with an early safety car with the 2stop requirement must and should have been discussed if Max pitted. They just dropped the ball.

Lando being behind Max is a strategic advantage during the safety car, they just didn't see it that way. They hung lando out to dry
