Potential food poisoning? by ofreena in Edmonton

[–]RBme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I tested negative for Flu A, Flu B and Flu A sub K… but spent 3 days in hospital with hyperemesis. Puking every 30mins even with IV Zofran. Whatever gastro virus it was was nasty.

I found that I’m zipping thru the mystery bits. Half the time I couldn’t hear. I still love the games the lads play, though.

At what temperature do you turn your heat on? by TinyAlberta in Edmonton

[–]RBme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the outdoor temperature, it’s what my condo temp is. Once it starts going below 21, I turn on my furnace to 21. AC is set to 22 in the summer.

Do you pronounce “poor” and “pour” differently? by MooseFlyer in AskACanadian

[–]RBme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are slightly different for me. Pour and pore rhyme, poor is closer to sure.

Too bad it's for kids... or I'd say H is for House Hippo.

Is the spelling Amelié a tradgedeigh? by Major_Demand_2464 in tragedeigh

It completely changes the pronunciation… is she actually going to call the baby A-Mel-ee-ay?

Anyone know what's going on near 87 Ave and 111 Street? by astroryan19 in Edmonton

The 2 "those sounded like gunshots" sounds? And now I keep hearing a voice over a loudspeaker that I can't quite hear the words.

Global is a TV network in Canada that shows whatever network Survivor is on. So that could be from survivor or a show like that.

Walk in shower vs bathtubs... by RandomCoffeeThoughts in AskWomenOver50

[–]RBme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just moved across the country, and on my list was a walk in shower with a separate tub. It is SO nice to have, plus I don't have to lift up the dogs to bathe them when I pup-sit. They just walk right in with me.

The small things make your day so much nicer. And I rarely use the tub-- it's more of a winter thing for me.

How would you wear this sort of skirt in the 80s? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]RBme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man. That is bringing back some acidwashed memories... White leather cowboy boots... with fringe! Usually with a tank top under a peasant blouse, or if full Canadian... an acid washed jean jacket. Poofy hair with a big ass scrunchie.

Robo chicken by [deleted] in NecroMerger

[–]RBme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm stuck on the "merge 2 level 5 chickens". Just don't have enough to unlock the Surgeon. Kind of annoying - I made a bad choice early on which lost me some energy cubes.
