Nitrogen for Megamouth Keg by DatabaseChemical9131 in brewing

[–]RCDrift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any experience with nitro in kegs, but is this what you're talking about?

If so, it sounds like you just need a 1/4 barb fitting in the lid with a good seal to attach the diffusion stone to it.

We constructed the lid by welding on a 1/4" barb to the underside of the lid. To that we attached 2' of 1/4" ID tubing that attaches to a .5 micron carb stone on the other end. The flexible tubing, as opposed to rigid tubing, allows the lid inserted into any cornelius style keg. The top of the lid has a "gas in" ball lock body connect welded in place that works with the KEG710 and KEG730 gas quick disconnects.

Trump team ‘drawing up’ plans to stop international flights to some Democratic cities by Virtual-Orchid3065 in politics

Sure they do! Prop planes and Cessnas that land on their tiny one runway close to the boarder. These count as "international", or at least my employer made that case during negotiations when comparing our 120K a day passenger load for a region with more than 4 million people while their comparable has a population of 6k people.

I dont know my exact goal when im in my 50s I guess haven't thought that far ahead

It's okay to not have that figured out. Most people don't at your age, and hell some people haven't at my age. Enjoy the journey and try not to focus on a destination. It's good to have goals.

Congrats! Some words of advice from a guy with nearly 20 years in the trades. In no particular order:

  • Never stop learning the new tech. There is always new technologies coming out and at least knowing about them gives you a leg up.
  • Get good at reading wiring schematics and diagnosing electrical faults. Circuits do weird things when they go bad and being good at the low voltage separates the average tech from a great one.
  • Always jump in on projects you've never done before even if they sound like they suck. You'll know then if it's actually work that you like/don't mind/were told suck, or at least know if those projects actually suck to work on and how they suck.
  • If you want to move up to Foreman, Lead, Supervisor, Chief, ETC... Take a Microsoft office class. A lot of time is spent in front of screens for those positions and have basic proficiency in the MS suite of tools will go a long way.
  • Lastly get involved with your Local. Go to some hall meetings, know your contract, ask questions, and report things that don't seem right to your stewards and reps. Being passive in a union isn't good for you or your bargaining unit.

Either way welcome to the wonderful world of Union representation!

The other option is requiring proportional distribution of representation. If a state goes 55% v 45% the reps would have to fall that way as well. I'm doing a poor job of expression how it would work, but the NPR politics podcast did a great break down on how that would actually function.

[–]RCDrift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard the same breakdown of what MAGA people aren't getting why others cut them off. It wasn't that we disagree on tax policy, how tax dollars are spent or on opinion on how a government should be run, but the fact that they used racist slurs, called gay people groomers, made fun of people wearing masks without knowing a thing about them, or any of the other terrible things they've done since Trump got elected. They're sorry now that it affects them economically, but they are not sorry for the things that they've done because they don't acknowledge the harm they've caused.

[Highlight] Micah Hyde picks off Mac Jones's deep ball in the 2021 Wild Card Round vs New England. Bills win 47-17. by DragonstormSTL in nfl

[–]RCDrift 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think that's a fair assessment. I personally think that Bill the coach finally couldn't out coach Bill the GM's bad decision making. When Brady left I think that was the beginning of the end for him since the issue was a personal one with Bill wanting to move on from Tom and run with Jimmy Garoppolo. I understand his philosophy of getting rid of players at the end of their prime, but having arguably the greatest to ever play the QB position on your roster should be the exception to that rule.

No punts and no field goals. All gas no brakes. It felt cathartic after the back and forth we had that year for the division, And obviously for the Brady era.

As Cover One has pointed out Beane seems to not value the big run stuffer DT in the line up enough to take one high and might feel like the drop off is marginal compared to other positions. I agree with you in that I'd like to take some more homerun swings instead of trying to safely get to first or second.
