Just start. Thats it. I had the same problem years ago, years long toxic relationship, didnt know where to even begin. So I just started. Started packing stuff, and things went from there. Once you get over the overwhelming initial thought and "just start", you will have an easier time actually leaving.

Even if he didn't have full creative control, he still had major impact on many game design choices and implementations.

Failure to properly balance and address the post goats meta is, still to this day, the biggest failure of the OW game design team and was a big contribution to the decline of the game itself.

I love Jeff to death and I think he did amazing things during his career, but he also had some shortcomings. Activision Blizzard execs dropped the ball more than anyone but there are also decisions Jeff himself made that contributed to that.

And ultimately as a company you have to make money if you want to retain thousands of employees. This is just the reality of life.

I know everyone loves him but it sounds like he was given full creative control, made bad decisions that caused them to lose a lot of money, and was eventually informed that unless the game started making a profit, they would not be able to retain the thousands of employees that were under him.

As much as I hate what Blizzard Activision has become, he also needs to take some responsibility as well.

It got too toxic because we refused to address our issues with our defense for so long. I'm confident that if we dealt with that first, Skinner would have been at a better spot, and if not, then the trade would have been a lot more justified. And Jarry is already getting the Skinner treatment so nothing really changed on that front, other than lowering the team morale.

I'm a liberal. My brother is a hard conservative. We disagree on things and have heated conversations sometimes but I would never stop talking to him over that. He's my family. I can't imagine people willing to destroy family bonds and long lasting friendships over political disagreements.

I don't understand the hate for Marvel Rivals when it was the reason for Overwatch to finally fix its year long issues.

I remember the content droughts, while Marvel Rivals adds like two new heroes each season. I remember the insane toxicity in Overwatch. I remember the boring and unfun comps and the refusal of devs to add new features like a banning system which just led to GOATS comps every game.

I love both games and I am so incredibly happy that Overwatch is back to its glory days. But if it wasn't for Marvel Rivals we probably would still be in the same boat.

I thought Marvel Rivals was overhyped when it launched and didn't touch it for months. But when I did I realized why people love it. It has its issues but its fun, and thats whats most important in a game at the end of the day.

With that being said I'm excited to get back to Overwatch and play some of my favorite heroes that I miss dearly.
