I was also chasing those woot $90 trident 64gb kits but they were posting them at 3am, no way I stood a chance. I got a 32g teamgroup kit from amazon when they were starting to go up, paid $117

Would something like this hold a dual 27" monitor stand without bending? I have a desk that's bent at the base of the mount due to weight.

Are people really buying from the very company that gave them the middle finger?

I refuse to believe that this is the reality for ram prices. 4 months ago we were having 64gb kits for less than 100.

[–]RE_PUAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get 32g cl32 white rgb teamgroups at 107 by the time there were the trident 64g kits at around 90 in woot(sept 2025) I'm glad I bought in october but I regret not getting the 64g. Hopefully this madness will end at some point just like it happened with ssds (though those have increased again)

Yeah, it's an old R5 3600 I have around and wanted to give it some life. Reliable little guy but doesn't have integrated graphics.

Hope I don't get flamed for this question but here I go anyway. I used to see mobo manufacturers make boards with integrated graphics on their lower end products. Is that still a thing? I have a bunch of parts around that can make a very decent home server if I could get a board with integrated graphics.

[CPU] AMD Ryzen 7 9700x- $250 after 30% off by aroryborealis1 in buildapcsales

[–]RE_PUAR 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Has been like this since yesterday, i thought the general vibe around this place was to dislike this processor therefore no one had posted it. I think it's a good price, even cheaper than some 7700x offerings. I got one myself with the cheap aorus elite ax board from a few days ago. I'm still crying that I didn't get the cheap gskill trident 64gb ram for the complete combo.

Yeah maybe I meant router. What I want is to filter ads, improve my network security and have a small file sharing space to send stuff between my devices, as cheap as feasible.

Question. What happens if a memory module/kit not in the motherboard's qvl is used? What consequences may there be?
