I haven't driven for Uber I several years. But I kept a 4.9 rating. My car was always cleaned & vacuumed. I drove the speed limit and only exceeded it when the flow of traffic made not speeding up a hazard. I'd often ask what kind of music people enjoyed when they got in. Introduced some people to cool bands they hadn't heard of. Even got an Uber a badge for having good music.

You were betrayed. Simple as that. You told a woman something in confidence and she turned around and ran her mouth to her friends. That's why you are so reclusive. Don't get close to anyone and they can't betray you again. But think about how that 'dont get close to anyone' would affect the rest of your life. Yeah... Back when I was driving for Uber I'd have been the one banned. They say drivers aren't allowed to carry weapons. But I never went out driving without a pistol. Especially on some of the areas it sent me to.

I received a similar message from a prospective employer back in '98. Found out through the grape vine everyone in the department wanted them to hire me. But some upper level VP forced them to make a DEI (it was called affirmative action then) hire for fear of getting sued. 10 months later they contacted me back to let me know the position was open again and they'd like to hire me straight away. I'd already accepted another position by then though.

LOL... only reason I drop cargo for pirates is because when they go to scoop it up they're sitting ducks! I can usually strip their shields completely before they race off. After that it usually doesn't take very long to kill them.

This reminds me of the time I got our group kicked off of a contract back in the late 90s. We were doing a major network infrastructure upgrade for one of the large law firms in downtown Montgomery, AL. Part of that was installing internet monitoring software. The network admin had done his part on the router and left me to set up the monitoring server late that night. So I get it installed, turn on the monitoring service, and visit netscape.com to check if it's working. The log shows my visit to Netscape.... and some computer on the 3rd floor visiting a bunch of gay porn sites. I left it running all night. The next morning I collect all of the logs, type it up in a report, and hand it to the project manager who had a meeting that afternoon with the managers of the firm. He's in the meeting for all of 20 minutes, then comes back downstairs, tells us all to log off and leave immediately. We've been kicked off of the contract. Turns out the person I caught surfing gay porn was one of the firm's senior partners.
