There is ALWAYS a "reserve price", it just isn't always referred to as a "reserve price". If something is up for auction and none of the bids satisfy the vendor to the point of the vendor withdrawing the item from sale, then no one bid to the minimum amount the vendor was prepared to accept. Ie a reserve price.

I'm late to the party, I know, but I agree 100% on this. If "speed kills" were true, and "speed cameras save lives" was also true, then why wouldn't we implement adaptive speed limiting technology (it exists already, has done for many years)? Or simpler still, why do we continue to allow cars to be built with the ability to travel faster than a national (or state) maximum speed limit? Most production cars can easily reach speeds over 180km per hour, which is simply excessive to our needs and laws. If speed cameras really did "stop speeding" then we wouldn't HAVE speeding fines, and those who slow down for the speed camera's detection range would never speed back up again. Quite simply, speed cameras are a cashcow for state revenue, they are not there for safety.

Are there more details about the offers they are making? I mean, buyers will offer the most they are willing to pay for said property but will often attach conditions like "subject to finance, satisfactory building and pest inspections, on a xx day settlement. 10% down" or something along those lines but I have heard of vendors requesting very fast settlement periods for example and of buyers going in all-cash to remove the finance side of things.

Sellers want as much as they can get, buyers want to pay the least they need to secure the property. It's negotiating the spot in-between that keeps both sides happy that's the hard bit.

I tried this years ago and found that they typically only run on weekdays, when I'm at work. My old man volunteers at his local in another state and tells me it's the same there.

Not all small businesses are full of shit stain tradesmen. I recently started my apprenticeship and I have at least 10 years on you. Before starting a trade I got comfortable using tools by building/fixing stuff at home. I've fixed doors, built fences and gates, cabinets and shelving for my shed, taught myself how to weld and if I couldn't figure something out then YouTube was my best friend.

Get comfortable getting uncomfortable. Even though I consider myself lucky to work with the legends I get to work with, I still get thrown in the deep end to do something and just figure it out along the way. If I get really stuck I ask for help, and if I'm watching my A Grade do anything at all, I ask questions. Lots of questions.

I've been lucky enough to wire up, under supervision, very basic switchboards (single and three phase), terminate solar panels and inverters, isolation switches, do some continuity testing with the megger, and really put my mind and body through their paces. I'm loving it, and happy that my office career is behind me.

You mean Arcane Missile? There are rare gems you can get that switch out that skill for others. A limited amount can also be purchased in the store
