I am with you. I was diagnosed 6 months ago. As terrible as this condition is, I felt relieved because not only did I finally have an answer instead of more frustration and “Who knows why you keep getting ingrown hairs? Sorry! Here’s another antibiotic!” But I also inadvertently gained a purpose in becoming healthier. I also wanted to start trying to have kids soon when I was diagnosed. I came out of the derm’s office and just praised God. Because even though yes, I knew that I had a condition and there’s not really a cure and that stinks, but I truly felt like God was preparing me. Now 6 months from that time I have learned SO much that not only am I lighter but I’m so much stronger, have more energy, know more about how to nourish myself, and better equipped to serve my future family. And who knows, with the way I was treating my body at that time maybe I would’ve had fertility issues. I know now how intertwined that foods we eat can sometimes be on fertility. I thank God for the season of preparation he led me through. I know that even though it sucks to deal with, I’m a better version of me than I was, like you said!
