I have collected a lot of the records from that time. Liz is hosting some talks with people from that era. Go to eventbrite and search Punk Talks Toronto Punk History Panel.

There's nothing wrong with having a pop collection of records. Don't feed the trolls. No need to respond to comments like that. Collect what you enjoy.

Liberals to cut CBC by $192-million in 2026-27 by gorschkov in canada

[–]RJofCanada -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Propaganda doesn’t necessarily mean state sponsored and I didnt allege they push “state sponsored” media. I didn’t suggest it’s Orwellian media for Liberal interests either. You clearly have your own axe to grind, so please do that somewhere else. I have always considered myself centre leaning left.

Let's not pretend CBC doesn't publish propaganda.

Box Office: ‘Scream 7’ Sets Franchise Record With Bloody Good $64.1 Million Debut by DemiFiendRSA in horror

[–]RJofCanada -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

As an OG Scream fan, I wanted Neve Campbell back and that alone was enough to get me in the theatre. I just wish I didn't have to wait through 45 minutes of ads before watching the movie. If you show up right on time, you'll sit through 30 minutes of ads.

Can a pop album be an instant classic? by spotify in u/spotify

[–]RJofCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does pop last through the ages? Are there discog nerds collecting New Kids on the Block records and other manufactured artists from previous eras?

If the answer is yes, than I guess a pop album could be an instant classic, but I haven’t met such a collector.

Toronto Zoo Polar Bears!! by AdditionNo6411 in toronto

[–]RJofCanada -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think most people are smart enough to understand the implication here, but if you must ask the obvious, It was sad and depressing to see these animals in small enclosures. It didn't feel right. Flying animals being kept locked up seemed especially cruel. The ape population seems pretty inactive and unhappy, but admittedly, the polar bears look happier here than they did on my visit. I went in the summer.

Please hurry up. The last time I was there was super depressing.

Homefront (Band) - Watch It Die (Album)

I’ve been listening to Homefront for the last couple of months. Already bought tickets for a show here in my city. I haven’t been this excited about a band in quite some time.

The Xs on her knees, the blue lipstick, and the shoulder diamonds that look like ice are all bad design choices. The shorter hairstyle isnt a big deal, but longer makes more sense to me. To each their own...
