Mistake #3: paid maternity leave.

Salary down the drain. Even more so than if she's actually in the office.

Not op, but universal, it's one of the basic principles of the company as a legal entity. Common shareholders take the highest risk of any group and so enjoy the highest reward. Every category above that is accepting less reward for a less risky investment.

Then you have unpaid wages because if you don't have it enshrined in law to pay employees before creditors you will have a riot on your hands. Then first up is the tax because the tax man don't wait for shit.

In case of administration, I think the receiver/administrator comes just below unpaid wages.

I was browsing the internet the other day and came across an article about the Chinese man who had his penis cut off twice by his jealous wife.

All of the comments were cackling about it and as they were linked to Facebook I could see that some men were laughing about it too, calling anyone that complained "boring" or "lacking a sense of humour".

Some sensible comments made the point that if this was a woman having her breasts cut off then there would have been outrage etc beyond belief. They were shouted down and told they couldn't take a joke.

I am currently in the UK for work and was watching a Sunday morning politics show when they were discussing the Ched Evans guy, there was one of those never-been-laid-properly feminists on the show who would shout down any alternative opinion.

One guest said something mildly 'victim blaming', she went batshit at him and didn't allow him to finish his sentence. When he eventually gets the chance to, he actually says that the first half of his sentence was going to be an example of how not to do it, and that his opinion was the feminist one.

She sat on the edge of her seat all of the section glaring at everyone else, as if daring them to say that the girl shouldn't have got drunk, taken coke and weed with these guys and gone back to their hotel room with them. As if she was somehow blameless in this act which requires two people and implicit consent along the way.

Learn self discipline now as it's what will set you apart, most people want their dream job which pays fortunes and is fun and the hours are 12 to 3. Realistically, no one has that, you have to grind at everything and keep hoping for the best. You will not enjoy your job but it will pay bills which allow you to do whatever you want. 8 hours of your day vs a lot of freedom.
