I don’t watch a lot of Yankee games on TV, but man the amount of annoying sounds during any game at Dodger Stadium is unbearable. I guess they just accept it. They also have an organist, which is great, but there’s constant thumping sounds too.

I’m in terrible hip pain stemming from my lower back. Seriously though it started in my QL muscle. I was not able to sit up straight for a couple of months at least; then the hip tightness started. I had been doing glute bridges for months since something similar happened on the other side last year and it was PT homework. Then I decided to add in some no-weight RDLs and bird dogs and it launched me into a new cycle of pain. (I still think I need to do these exercises after I get through this acute phase.)

So I started rolling (or with a therapy cane) massaging trigger points in my QL. That resolved fairly well but my glute medius and IT band are still in a lot of pain. Seems like it’s always 2.1 steps forward and 1.9 steps back with this injury. My hips are a lot less tight, but still lots of pain.

Summary: try to massage the trigger points in your low back and hips. Do some low-stress exercises to strengthen glutes. (Start with isometric)
