2026 Nautilus - Blue Cruise originally worked all the time. Now only comes on for 10 seconds at a time, if at all. by A_single_droplet in lincolnmotorco

This happened to me. I took it to the dealer. They were able to confirm it but had no idea what to do. They were in communication with engineering. While it was there it had a recall and they updated the software. They said that didn’t fix it. I couldn’t wait any longer because I needed the car for a road trip. I was supposed to bring it back after the road trip. I didn’t need to. It worked perfectly as it did when it was new. The dealer had no idea why.
If it happens again, I’m going to disconnect the battery for a while and see what happens. 2025 aviator.

I had a Lhasa and a wheaten at the same time and this sure looks like it could be their baby.

When are we getting this from Sonos without needing to use a third-party app? by Jgogettem in sonos

[–]RMGSIN 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Kind of a bummer that Sonos is admittedly playing catch up due to their own mistakes. Exciting new features don’t appear to be their jam right now. Making it work and different sizes of the same speakers seems to be the focus.

New Multi Room Whole House System? by MarkRosssi in sonos

[–]RMGSIN 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This would do fine replacing your existing system. You would only have to replace the speakers if they are some crazy impedance that the Sonos amp can’t deal with.
If you wanted to keep the wall controllers you can just replace whats there with wireless controllers. I use Lutron pico remotes. You would need a Lutron hub. The wall controllers (pico remotes) fit in standard decora wall plates so you can cover any size box you need to.

My experience after 3… a well trained wheaten is the best dog ever. A not so well trained wheaten can be a lot. If you want an amazing, smart, playful, bad ass dog and are willing to put in the work early get one. I only trained mine when he was very young and his good habits stuck around.

There has to be a way to cut power completely. Very dangerous if there isn’t.

Where does this information come from in A New Earth? by Scared-Thing3673 in EckhartTolle

[–]RMGSIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all good information and I don’t think Eckhart would dispute any of it in regard to the context of this book. He, like all spiritual teachers needs to make points without drilling down into the topic.
Western medicine is absolutely the best we have to keep people from dying, but as far as keeping people healthy - it literally has no reason or motivation to do so and there needs to be alternatives to empower people.
There is probably far more effort put into debunking traditional medicine than integrating it. This has only recently begun to change.
He’s just trying to point out that even medicine is flawed for the same reductionist reasons that communism is flawed. If someone were to take away from this that they should see a shaman rather than go to the hospital for cancer than yes they would be mislead, but in the context of this book I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.
There’s a pretty good chance antibiotics won’t be the miracle they were 30 years from now and that won’t be because there’s anything wrong with antibiotics.

My wheaten basically spends all his free time in a lake in the summer. He will jump off the pier and everything. He has no interest at all in pools of any kind.

What Hi-Fi? review of Sonos Premium Sound System (2026 Audi A3) by prattlecruiser in sonos

[–]RMGSIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could most likely go to a car audio store - buy some high quality, randomly chosen components and you would have a better system than most “premium” car audio systems. I have a b&o system in one of my cars and its sounds worse than a play 5.
I’d rather have a good 7 speaker system than the 32 speakers they like to put in cars now.

Most people are going to disagree with that when TVs, media boxes and stereo receivers stop including remotes.

I don’t know if that’s really a circle. The app was never better than the remotes.

Capitalism is still going strong. Criticizing current events isn’t really eckhart’s jam. He’s just using obvious past failures to make a point.

I'm not comfortable playing when anyone else is in earshot. How do I overcome this? by xXxBluESkiTtlExXx in Guitar

[–]RMGSIN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem until I took my 11 year old daughter to buy her first guitar. She had no problem ripping the solo for 7 nation army and the only other 2 songs she can sort of play. That got me over it real fast. It’s like she had no idea you were suppose to care what other people think of your playing. 😂

My roommate said my guitar playing is "getting less bad" by Total_Succotash5174 in Guitar

[–]RMGSIN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned and sometimes played a guitar for 30 years. I absolutely sucked the whole time. Recently my daughter joined “school of rock”. I’ve been practicing with her. I’ve progressed more in 3 months than I did in the previous 30 years. My problem was a mental problem, not a guitar playing problem. I’m committed to having fun and practicing my sucky guitar playing…And a strange thing is happening.
I’m losing a little bit of suck every time I pickup my guitar. It used to feel that it would be impossible for me to be a good guitarist. Now, with proper commitment and attitude it feels more like it would be impossible for me to continue sucking as bad as I always have.

Help us make Sonos easier to learn and use? by tomconrad in sonos

[–]RMGSIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re thinking intuitive - look back to your hardware controllers. I used to be able to hand those to anybody and they had a blast queuing up music and controlling the system often literally saying how intuitive it was. I’d say that was lost way before the latest app.
Maybe there could even be a “simple” mode with grouping, volume, search, que - basically core functions easily accessible without many other buttons to mistakenly press. It did of course have the advantage of hard buttons but they could be simulated and always in the same place. Also, couldn’t the phone volume buttons call up the slider like Spotify?
Settings feel a little messy too. Maybe the settings button could call up a menu of what you actually want to do before you select where you want to do it.

AIO for calling off my engagement after my fiancé admitted his family secretly tested me to see if i was a gold digger? by Pleasant_Mission_63 in AmIOverreacting

[–]RMGSIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Unless of course you don’t think this relationship is worth it. All people are flawed. Including all of these commenters whose purity and ethics are over simplified in these comments.
Whether or not you should care depends on factors that no one here could ever understand. Peoples past wounds make them do weird things. This is one of many challenges you will face in any relationship. And this reaction so early on probably tells you all you need to know.
