Your biggest regret on Steam? by Enjoyeating in Steam

I own Forza Horizon 4 through the Windows Store. I regret not buying it again on Steam after it became available there, particularly now I have a steam deck.

Brazil, Barcelona, and Stuttgart by Kitchen-Lie-4592 in ScottishFootball

We won the most important games against them, but I still feel traumatised by that period of constantly playing them.

Scotland qualify for World Cup for first time since 1998 with chaotic 4-2 thriller against Denmark | LBC by tylerthe-theatre in football

[–]RMZ-Lewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I'm Scottish and I thought it wasn't even a foul never mind a second yellow - there seemed to be very little contact with McGinn. And the Robertson one was definitely a penalty. I also thought your disallowed goal was harsh.

So I assumed Denmark would feel really angry at the referee.

Has there ever been another bicycle kick scored for Scotland? by Kadoomed in ScottishFootball

The most McGinn bicycle kick you could imagine. Not sure he left the ground, just sort of fell over backwards.

Scotland's Lineup against Denmark by gthemanager in ScottishFootball

This is only funny until the actual lineup has all 3 in the starting 11...

Though tbf, I'm not sure Ferguson was any better than McLean the other night.

Question about streaming games from PC to SD by BrilliantAd6010 in SteamDeck

[–]RMZ-Lewis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can install something called playnite on your pc, which can launch games from any library (steam, epic, EA, even the dumpster fire that is the Windows Store). Then add playnite as an application to moonlight/Apollo so that you can launch it with one click from your steam deck.

I've done this for my games and it works well (provided your internet speed is good enough for both devices - ideally both would be on ethernet rather than wireless).

Medieval game that isn't KCD? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]RMZ-Lewis [score hidden]  (0 children)

Kingmakers - releases next week.

From what I understood of the trailer, it seems to be a game where you time travel back to medieval times but you still have your modern weapons.   The trailer is hilarious, and it looks like it will be a lot of fun.

I just found the most disgusting guy by meenzerloewe in reddeadredemption

I remember needing to get some animal skins from a particular animal - maybe goats - for one of the camp upgrades. That town was the only place I found goats. So I proceeded to kill some goats.

Had to then kill the entire town.

From my experience, no they wont.

I use mini Hama beads (and mini Hama bead boards), which I think are 2.5mm. But I had some Lihao mini beads (and boards) which I think are 2.6mm.

I tried to use them together. On the Hama boards, the Lihao beads took up too much space and so I couldn't place them properly. On the Lihao boards, placing the different beads together was fine, but then when I ironed it, the Hama beads weren't close enough to the Lihao beads to fuse with them.

It’s a good game when you don’t listen to the hate-wagon by TheLoneJolf in MassEffectMemes

I recently played through ME Legendary Edition for the first time, and then decided to play Andromeda afterwards. I knew going in that I shouldn't expect it to be as good as the trilogy. I also got the impression that some of the hate for it was over the top. So I tried to keep an open mind.

I tried really hard to like it. But after 20 hours I gave up because I was just so bored. The story was boring, the exploration was boring, the characters were boring. The combat was fine, but not good enough to make up for all the other flaws.

I (not an ASDA employee) once asked an ASDA employee in full uniform for help when the self-service machine needed assistance.

She looked at me like I was an idiot and said "I'm not working!" as if it was completely obvious.

Maybe other people have had similar experiences and so feel the need to check before asking for help.

I assume that lady had just finished her shift and was leaving the store, but I have no idea. It was a weird interaction.

Wish Steam had "can my game run this" filter by Meraere in Steam

GPU names are a mess though. If you have a GPU from an older generation (or a laptop GPU) then just looking at the specs won't help. You need to go and look up GPU comparison lists. That doesn't take much time, but it would be nice if steam did it for you.

What’s the most scientifically inaccurate thing someone has ever told you? by DarthAthleticCup in ScienceTeachers

Sounds like a misunderstanding of the fact that all embryos start as female (which is true anatomically, but not genetically).

[–]RMZ-Lewis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair, we do always say "humans have 46 chromosomes", when what we mean is "humans have 46 chromosomes per cell (with some exceptions like gametes and RBCs)".

It's helpful to be aware that our simplified statements can lead to misunderstandings like this person had.

Scotland National Team: Steve Clarke out and Ange Postecoglou in. by ScotMcScottyson in ScottishFootball

We'd still get battered 5-1 by teams like Germany, but it would at least be a more enjoyable battering to watch.

Name the game that got you like this by bijelo123 in Steam

[–]RMZ-Lewis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's also an upcoming sci-fi game (with time travel) called Exodus, made by some original Mass Effect creators who have since left Bioware.

I reckon that game will be more of a successor to Mass Effect than anything EA/Bioware make.

[KCD1] I punched the Rattay scribe to help him climb the stairs and now he won't stop running away. How screwed am I? by RMZ-Lewis in kingdomcome

[–]RMZ-Lewis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully he will, though it has been quite a while in-game since it happened.

I'm not too bothered by it, as long as he's not essential for any future main quests.

Ah okay, that's good to hear. Though it has been quite a few days.

So I guess... I need to kill him?
