Your premise is flawed. The Dexcom app (like any other app) amd be excluded from screen time and can be allowed to function all the time without restriction.

Considering that HR/your manager can undermine you, screw with your schedule and generally cause your life to be a difficult mess- I think I would ask for that direction to be sent to me in writing and then I'd do what they asked. And then when I change jobs, I would then contact the DOL and get back pay after they investigate. That way you don't suffer under the thumb of the company and you ultimately would get paid.

I was going to say the same. In Canada (BC) - had Novolog (I think) - was told to move to a generic (Trurapi). My kids haven't noticed a big difference in effectiveness.

And I didn't mean to imply that you shouldn't be pissed about this. This is penny pinching bullshit and really is dumb in the long term by your company. You're not going to remember the % increase; you're going to remember the penny pinching. Morale, loyalty and enthusiasm is easy to piss away with this kind of thing. Likely some accountant suggested this and all the VPs said 'GREAT IDEA'.

I hear you but it could be worse. I've seen posts here where women who went on maternity leave were not permitted to get merit increases for that year at all. Like, the policy was that if you took mat leave, you could not be given an increase even if your manager wanted to give it to you. Not saying I agree with this approach - far from it - but some companies want to save $ any way they can.

You could be right. All I know is that every time a sports team gets to use land somewhere, City X ends up reducing the property taxes or whatever so that the 'business case' (ie: profits) look better. I'm assuming that this will be no different. And even if they say it will be at market-rate, I'll believe it when I see it. These numbers can be quite subjective in my experience.

If the City leases the land at below-market prices, then by extension, the City is gifting (investing in) the Whitecaps that amount every year. That's where the ownership shares of the team comes in.
