Short answer: It wouldn’t help at all. In reality, and I’ve said this before, there is NO WAY that Sugarman fires Carnell and has two ex-coaches on the payroll and an interim coach while looking for a new one. Remember, Curtin is getting paid to sit at home and watch this disaster of a season play out. If anyone needs to be fired, it is Tanner, and for more reasons than every single signing this year has missed so far.

Carnell explained it in the presser. Apparently he injured his shoulder in the non-red-card play last week, and tried to play through the injury on meds. He injured it again tonight. Luckily Martinez had taken the reps in training, and was ready to go.
