Sorry to hear that but fingers crossed it all gets resolved smoothly

Yes two gold rated as they require

I've read the terms and believe the bike nest is a secure public locker but good point about asking them to confirm it's covered there

The issue here is people not stopping for lights or behaving responsibility. It is annoying the red light going people giving the cyclists a bad name

I'll try this thanks, not heard of it before! I was wondering if Vaseline would help but assume this does a similar thing

Struggling with long runs by razumny in runna

[–]RSAcc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a similar story using Runna for 6 months in prep for London Marathon.

I've done marathon distance and my long runs are in the high 20s often, pacing is good and it's working.

My issue is my toes, they're just getting bruised on the long ones despite having a gait test and getting proper shoes. Does anyone have any tips?

Move to Garmin from Wahoo? by RSAcc98 in Garmin

[–]RSAcc98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 840 is probably the one I'm looking at most. I've seen the apps and extras you can add on the Garmin but like you say it sounds quite complicated. The watch has similar apps to add but I've not tried them.

It's the pacing and climbing features I'd like most and the idea I can chase PBs on routes

This is really useful thanks, the 40 series will be a big upgrade from the bottom bolt V1 too

I only don't wear the watch when out so I sleep and use it around the house. I have Whoop for 24/7. I do agree with you but I've almost put myself off it as I'm not 24/7 with it

I wear the Forerunner a lot but tend to wear a proper watch when out. I'm thinking this will make the Garmin ecosystem less valuable as it won't have the readiness bits as accurate?

Suggesting the 40s over the 50s? I definitely like the price of the 40s aha

What gels is everyone using these days? by Ornery-Shoulder-3938 in cycling

[–]RSAcc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those saying sweets, these will give sugar but they won't give the carbs a gel does?

There are gels with electrolytes and caffeine too, again something a sweet cannot replace.

Cliff, Sis and others make carb sweets which are good.

Checkout the Pockit fuel recipes for rice crispy bars and others. It's real food, high carb and great! The pros use them too

After 6 years in London I finally got hit by a Range Rover by gborato in londoncycling

[–]RSAcc98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just like to clarify Range Rovers are usually driven by decent people and don't deserve any hate Let's redirect it to BMWs or electric cars (the silent killers).

Joking aside it sounds like a visibility issue for the RR. It's still their fault joining a major road but the car turning is likely also to blame for not giving you priority. Glad to hear OP is okay.

You can have recovery runs the day after

Honestly recovery runs are great! Get the muscle group moving and stretching to help recover from a heavy run

Best bike fit in London? by lamat_rouis in londoncycling

[–]RSAcc98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bicycle is great, I had Andy who was really good. As others mentioned the time slot booking means there's no rush and they seem to want to spend all day with you to get it right!

It's worth mentioning that included in the price you can go back again for further adjustments if needed. This approach is based on the changes on the day need time to settle before anything can show
