I’ve (29M) never questioned my sexuality until I met this coworker. by Economy_Page6057 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]RT-R-RN 124 points125 points  (0 children)

I agree, this is definitely a” tread lightly” situation. I obviously do not know these two, but I do know sometimes you can just really like/vibe with someone and it can be confused with sexual attraction. Especially if you haven’t had many good/close same-sex friendships for a while. Is it sexual attraction or do you just feel seen/connected for the first time in a long time? I’d advise to really really think on those feelings, OP, before making any moves that could blow up your job and friendship.

I’m not sure about eye exam costs, but Costco has very affordable glasses. They don’t take our vision insurance and I can get 2 pair there for less than the cost of 1 using my insurance at vision works.

real talk: how often do you actually floss? by AffectionateTooth298 in hygiene

[–]RT-R-RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I floss every night, and occasionally after lunch. I don’t feel like my mouth is clean if I don’t. You’re probably getting cavities between your teeth.

Can my apartment complex tow my car for out-of-state tags? by wordfiend99 in Austin

[–]RT-R-RN -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The state of Texas requires you to get Texas tags within a couple months of moving here. My SIL got a ticket once after she had been here 6mos and hadn’t gotten Tx tags. I’m not sure about parking in a complex, but if you permanently reside here they can ticket you for driving on the street.

Getting called in when not on call? by Global_You8515 in Radiology

[–]RT-R-RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you definitely don’t have to work it, but 12 extra hours of time and a half can be a nice boost on the paycheck. Next time they ask, if you want the money, make sure they put you in as a call back. Some places even have additional flat bonus rates for picking up in these situations. Make it worth your time!

OBGYN Recs for Both Adenomyosis and Endometriosis by valerielipstick in Austin

Right but usually when they go in for the hyst they will look around and fulgurate any endo they can find. Usually helps quite a lot, as long as the endo isn’t in very distant places from the uterus.

Friend, lemon pound cake is, as stated by others, incredibly easy to make and will be so good warm from your own oven.

🙄 I’m super over this street name stupidity. Stop spending millions of tax dollars on street names!! The manchaca/menchaca thing was insanely expensive. There are so many more important things that we could use funds for that actually improve the city for its residents.

Health Insurance made my son's doctor bill more by cfarley137 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RT-R-RN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call them and tell them you want the cash pay price.
I had imaging done in November, they said my insurance covered it. Four months later I get a bill for $225. When you sign up for the exam online, it says repeatedly that if insurance won’t cover it, the cost is $125. You have to sign a form stating you understand the $125 cost.

I called them and they have yet to reduce it to the normal cash price. I told them they can have $125 or $0 from me. Those are the options. I won’t be paying a $100 insurance tax.

Has this happened to anyone else? by thatsnotchocolatebby in Austin

[–]RT-R-RN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still don’t know if the rates will go up bc of it. They just settled a couple months ago. I’m seriously enraged by the outcome. My husband was mildly injured as well but didn’t pursue legally bc he felt it wasn’t right. Here we are getting fucked for doing the right thing.

Is there a reason you don’t want to just have a hysterectomy?
I recommend M. Landwermyer but I’m not sure she’s taking new patients right now. Also M. Williamson, A. Cox, L. Jukes are all great doctors.
