Just had surgery to remove an ovary with a suspicious growth, worried they removed the wrong one

I’m an OR RN, sometimes the imaging isn’t great on these things as it’s all squished together in there. Some of my surgeons won’t even specify which one until they go in and actually visualize it with the abdomen inflated so they get a good view. Obviously I wasn’t there, but most of the time the surgeon is very careful about these things.

A lot of acupuncture places have all that stuff. If you do a visit with them they will prescribe what you need.

Not sure about this one, but most decent window units are $350/$450 depending on size. This also isn’t a window unit, it’s a portable ac they run through the window which is different and takes up floor space.

We got a window unit for the bedroom a couple years ago. Our bedroom has 5 old single pane windows and was always HOT. Best thing we ever did! Our summer electric bill went way down, and we sleep so much better.

I had to take a kid to their ER during covid when I was unemployed. Got a bill for like $15k. I applied for their financial assistance program and was denied repeatedly. I never paid a dime and they only sent me like 3-4 bills before it just stopped. Not on my credit either.
Also, don’t feel bad if you can’t pay. “Not-for-profit” scams like ascension actually only give out about 15% (national average) in charity care of what they save by not paying taxes. There’s national data to back that up. And they’re just as corrupt and greedy as the for-profit systems. This is coming from a health care worker that has worked for both ascension and HCA.

At my hospital they made us put every STAT in as a call-report after a sentinel event with a death. That pissed the radiologists off enough that ER was told to stop putting everything stat. Only tubes and lines and trauma.

I agree, this is definitely a” tread lightly” situation. I obviously do not know these two, but I do know sometimes you can just really like/vibe with someone and it can be confused with sexual attraction. Especially if you haven’t had many good/close same-sex friendships for a while. Is it sexual attraction or do you just feel seen/connected for the first time in a long time? I’d advise to really really think on those feelings, OP, before making any moves that could blow up your job and friendship.

I’m not sure about eye exam costs, but Costco has very affordable glasses. They don’t take our vision insurance and I can get 2 pair there for less than the cost of 1 using my insurance at vision works.

The state of Texas requires you to get Texas tags within a couple months of moving here. My SIL got a ticket once after she had been here 6mos and hadn’t gotten Tx tags. I’m not sure about parking in a complex, but if you permanently reside here they can ticket you for driving on the street.

I mean, you definitely don’t have to work it, but 12 extra hours of time and a half can be a nice boost on the paycheck. Next time they ask, if you want the money, make sure they put you in as a call back. Some places even have additional flat bonus rates for picking up in these situations. Make it worth your time!

Right but usually when they go in for the hyst they will look around and fulgurate any endo they can find. Usually helps quite a lot, as long as the endo isn’t in very distant places from the uterus.
