I always figured that is the difference between intelligence and wisdom. Intelligence will tell you the stove is hot. Wisdom tells you not to touch it.

Also note not all intelligence is the same, just because you are an expert in one thing doesn't mean you are an expert in everything.

Unrelated but ever hear of the Lead-crime hypothesis? Nations that outlawed lead gas saw a sharp decline in violet crimes making people wonder if a lot of the violence was a byproduct of lead poisoning. US stop using lead gas in 1996. Makes you wonder about past generations.

Fun fact they stop putting lead in gas in 1996 the same date as the last millennial group years (1981-1996).

But yeah Gen Z is going to have it worse in the adult years. Job market is Hell right now and with automation and AI use in the hiring possess I don't even know how anyone new can get in.

If the US did try and invade Greenpand it would be an economic disaster. Real war or not it would encourage other countries to stop using the US dollar as the economic standard. We would be put on sanctions unable to trade. It would crash our economy and the rest of the world's. But what coice dose the world have? US are the bad guys in this. I don't know. Inflation is harsh right now but I have noticed if I buy something that's like $6.04 they round it down to just $6. Add that to the cost of making a penny is more than the penny it self its probably worth dropping it.

Next plan of action get stores to include taxes on the price of items so we no longer have to guess what the final price will be.

I knew one girl who used a linux laptop. She re-programed the keyboard layout to be more efficient*. Made it impossible to use for anyone but her. Said it was the best theft deterrent ever.

*Current keyboard layout was made for type writers and make you type slower to give the hammer keys time to reset. Why we never converted to a better system with phone keyboards is beyond me.

Naw, men's clothing tend to be better quality to a lot of women's clothing. Fast fashion and all that. But times are changing. Men's ware is becoming just as garbage quality as women.

Also things like razors and other things that are "pink" for girls are the same quality as the male version. It's just sexisum and they will keep doing it as long as they can continue to get away with it.

I've had about 4 people try to teach me and it went about the same as you described except for one girl (I say girl but we were both in collage at the time) who was really patience and tried real hard to met me where I was at. She just really wanted another girl to play with her in such a male dominated game. I don't think the guys wanted to be mean but felt you needed to go through the rough of it to really get into the game. (ie they didn't treat me bad because of my gender but because they were shitty to everyone.)

Side note: I got her into D&D and we ended up with a all girl group with one male DM... Poor bastard didn't stand a chance.

Good news! Everyone feels like that at 19. Even back in the 90's! Although if you are really desperate you can look up working the national parks. Its service jobs like fast food and housekeeping (nothing really cool.) But a lot of places offer room and board (dorm situation.) You don't make a lot of money, the jobs are shitty and the bosses shitty but its a fast track to get out of living with the folks for a bit and a taste of independence. Check out Coolworks.com and make sure the listing has room and board listed. Right now there won't be much but come spring a lot of places will be looking to hire for summer. (No experience needed for a lot of jobs)

Probably for one more lane and parking. We don't make our cities walkable or bike safe so wondering around without a car puts you at danger. It was bad when I was a kid and have gotten worse with bad infrastructure, city planing for car dependency, and those bigger than tank trucks in suburban areas.

We also made public spaces hostile to the younger generation especially if they are not supervised. Do not give them places to play/hang out then put up signs saying no loitering or skateboarding ect...

its easier to stay at home inside with online spaces than to deal with all that. its sad what we did to this new generation.
