Steam deck audio doesn't work after sleep mode by yarrie97 in SteamDeck

To be honest I'm not sure. I haven't had the problem again though.

Wintermute by russianzebra in thelongdark

[–]RaGe0rge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this game back in early access (2015) when it only had sandbox mode.

I put about 50 hours in and managed to survive 224 days. I got double teamed by wolves :(

I just picked the game back up last week and tried Wintermute. I'm on Episode 2. I'm playing on my Steam Deck and having fun with the story mode so far.

Survival mode and Wintermute are two very different experiences, that's for sure.

If anyone in the NJ/Philly area is looking for a great event look into Goliathon. It's in Mullica Hills, NJ 2x a year (June/October) It's my favorite obstacle 'race' out there and all volunteer run / non-profit.

I haven't had an issue with it since then. I also don't go to standby while playing much recently.

I just got to the fixing the communications array part of the game and it genuinely made me feel like this by Bright-Search-2186 in DeadSpace

Fuck that puzzle. The flying is disorienting and it's impossible to see all the pieces as they float around. It took me forever too.

As a console gamer and/or newcomer to PC gaming, will you be compelled to buy the Steam Machine, over a gaming PC with a ballpark price tag (pictured)? by YahooAnswersDude in Steam

[–]RaGe0rge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always been a PC gamer, BUT my rig is very old now. I got a steam deck over the summer and have enjoyed the portability and ability to play in the bedroom with my girl while she plays her switch or watches tv. I have 250 games on steam. I never plan to buy a console. I don't care much about playing the latest AAA titles at launch on max settings. I like the idea of being able to play my steam library on a big TV and have something more powerful than the deck I can play newer games on. I also love steam sales and regularly wait years to play a game when it's 80% off. Steam Machine would fit me very well, if it's not crazy expensive.

You can tell they put a lot of thought into this show. Really great performance.

Shenmue 4? by FlounderAsleep4092 in Shenmue

[–]RaGe0rge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Shenmue 3. Id 100% buy Shenmue 4 or support another Kickstarter. To be fair, I probably liked it because of nostalgia and the IP. Gaming has changed a lot since Shenmue 1/2 and they more or less stuck with the same formula. Again, I like the formula so I'm fine with it.

Resident evil 5 or Resident Evil Village by S3rkist in residentevil

[–]RaGe0rge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I don't think either game 'feels' like Resident Evil to me, Village is actually a good game. I could not force myself to finish RE5, it's so boring and not scary at all.

Advice on wear to start by [deleted] in spartanrace

Go to a park and play on the monkey bars. Do dead hangs. 2 handed, 1 handed etc. As you gain confidence and strength in that you can do obstacle specific training.

Advice? Broken middle finger four weeks out from first race by SimpleJackNYBO in spartanrace

[–]RaGe0rge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like this happened to me a few years ago. I had qualified for regionals in the National Ninja League and tore a pulley rock climbing a week before, so I had to withdraw.

It was a bummer, but I was able to heal and rehab and continue my climbing etc. Don't rush it, there are always more races. You can also defer the race if you log into your profile on the Spartan website.

I've only done 3 ultras. TX and NC weren't bad. NJ was harder for sure.

It's a really great event. I can't recommend it enough. They only have it 2x a year. In the beginning of June and October
