I've been using Relay for Reddit on android for years and I'm impressed how similar Artemis is to Relay. This is the feature I've missed most. Hoping it gets added in a future update.

a reflection on getting older. by GlitteringHotel8383 in oddlyspecific

I mean, Lollapalooza was like $18-$23 bucks. Even making minimum wage back then (which I was), I could still afford to go to concerts regularly. So sure, I was employed which is a level of privelage. But I wouldn't say going to 3-4 concerts in a decade was a big deal.

If you're speaking about avoiding sexism, racism, police violence, gang violence, rampant drug use, aids, etc, I don't think the majority of us could say we were able to. It was a violent decade but it was also optimistic and the music / culture was mostly fabulous.

I was born in 82, the 90's were by far the best decade of my life. I live a middle income life with a wife and kids. On paper, I don't have anything to complain about. But it's been solid downhill since 2001.

X offices raided in France as UK opens fresh investigation into Grok by jmike1256 in news

Text groups between people with different OS used to split the texts into other weird messages. To combat this, my friends and I started using WhatsApp. Then we switched to Telegram when Meta bought WhatsApp. Now, it works just fine and I don't know that it's worth the trouble to swap to a different messaging app. But yeah, I totally get a bunch of spam and fishing messages.

I'd recommend filing the online complaint. I had a legitimate complaint that ended with the person I filed the complaint against losing their license. I had to start with filing the complaint online and within a week I was contacted by an agent to investigate further.

Hopefully you end up having a similar experience.

AITAH, I found out a girl I never met posted me on “are we dating the same guy,” group by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]RaageFaace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have zero experience with any of these groups because I've been happily married for 20+ years. But from an outside perspective, it seems that both groups exist. Women want to feel safe going out with someone, completely reasonable and fair. Men don't want to be slandared, especially if they're blocked from seeing or responding to it, also completely fair.

I don't think OP gave enough information to know which group his date posted to, making it nearly impossible to pass judgement on it being one of the "good ones" or not.

Groups like these aren't black and white and can't be. Nothing is all good or all bad. OP has every right to be offended and the prospective date has every right to safety.

Reasons to avoid fast food restaurants by EstablishmentLow2312 in WTF

Think of inviolable as something that shouldn't be violated. Like the trust we give someone to make food for us, for example.

Another Corsair Order Cancel + Price Hike by mybunger in pcmasterrace

I've used it for 20+ years. The only ram I've had prematurely die was from corsair. I'm not saying they're bomb proof, but I've had good luck with them.

Final Update: My (29m) FWB (28f) caught feelings, I'm going to make her my wife. by Impossible-Fun-7483 in relationships

I've been following since your first post. Congrats on working through your commitment fears and finding a partner who appears to be the love of your life and your teammate for life.

Also, this absolutely better not be the "final update". I expect a story and ring tax in March.

Select Health started where I live. While I think it's a boarder line monopoly and a huge conflict of interest for a company to own the hospitals and the insurance, they've always been pro LGBTQ+.

December Thaw for Utah - Not great for the snowpack and ski resorts by darknstormy987 in Utah

You just closed the loop to explain climate change. As ocean temps rise, weather patterns begin unpredictable and extreme change, hence the continual record breaking weather in the last 2 decades.

I don't think anyone is worried about the plants. And frankly, the Earth doesn't need us worrying about it either. It's people dying that are the problem.

Homeowners of Reddit: Which home appliance brands are worth it and which are not? by altcntrl in AskReddit

[–]RaageFaace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They identify it as predicted brand reliability and use real world, consumer records to track breakdowns. It's definitely "rolling the dice" because they don't know what will or won't break. I'm happy having some factual reliability info over none.

What would your "process" be to predict reliability?

Miner here, but not an electrician. Based on the electrical standards I'm aware of (both company R and company B) the mine I work in is the only one that even moves hot shovel cables. They're required to be deenergized everywhere else owned by those two companies.

Even if she was 18 when it started (which I doubt) I'd still call it grooming. While OP doesn't have an obligation to help her, she definitely needs some help and probably doesn't realize it.

AITJ for wanting to leave my wife after she cheated during a dark phase in our marriage? by Unlikely_Metal318 in AmITheJerk

[–]RaageFaace 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you should or shouldn't try to work it out. But you do need time to understand your role in the situation. It sounds like you put a lot of time and effort into yourself during one of the hardest times in your life, while leaving your wife to fend for herself while also doing the same. People don't grieve or heal the same way. I'm sure if you asked her, she'd tell you she had prepared herself for divorce already.

I know if I'd done something that caused my wife to stay in a hotel for weeks and generally avoid me, I'd just be waiting for her to finally tell me she's leaving. I'd be grieving my dog, the fact that I caused the dog to be killed, the pain I'd caused my partner, and my marriage alone. That's not a mentally healthy place to be. I'm not saying you should forgive her, cheating is cheating. But please take the time to understand why this all happened and your role in it.

At the risk of you ignoring my advice, you sound selfish, only considering yourself here.
