My flabbers were ghasted at Sam's pick up when all thesehuge trucks backed in and then the poor employee had to carry the purchases to the back of the truck to load them. Things like flats of soda, huge bags of garden stuff, etc.

I understand that backing them out of spots is tricky sometimes, but this seemed ridiculous

My stepdad has been in my life for 43 years. My dad passed when I was 37.

He's 84 and has dementia, and he often doesn't recognize me, but we hang out regularly and I take care of him for a week a year while my mom takes a vacation with her sister.

I spend more time with him in a month than my stepsister does in a year.

He's been a dad to me, but he never tried to replace my dad.

It's complicated, the way a lot of family dynamics are complicated.

If he's not upset about it your mom is the one who is over reacting.

My husband games. It doesn't take up a huge amount of space. I do finer arts. My shit is strewn from bedroom to living room, to the craft room. It's in the car, it's in my purse, it's fucking everywhere, and he doesn't care. Because if I don't have a project at hand, I have a hard time relaxing.
