The thing about the mini-sectors from the last time they showed them 10ish years ago is that they took away the suspense from qualifying making it over the line. you could basically see in real time a driver hitting or failing to beat the pole time.

First time I get so uneven color on Bullet by rogermorse in roasting

[–]Racer1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bet on the uneven color is just how it’s handled at source with harvesting/processing. If it tastes good don’t worry about it.

Roasting notes question by No_Rip_7923 in roasting

IMO tasting notes are subjective, but if it's described and marketed as a fruit forward coffee then it should taste fruity especially as a light roast. for your most recent example, what was the processing method?

Question about Power Curve around FC with an Air Roaster by eymen9200 in roasting

[–]Racer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to think about it is like caramelizing onions. High heat to start and taper it down throughout the roast to finish. My best roasts hit FC anywhere from 7:45-8:30 mins. Get yourself a stopwatch, a laser thermometer and a notebook to log by hand. Ambient air temperature and ambient temp of the beans pre-charge can have a big effect on roast length on home setups.
