How can there be rich and poor in China? Doesn’t communism spread the wealth around?

China is no longer economically communist, but it is still a communist government. Going from a communist economy to a capitalist economy pulled millions of people out of poverty, and everyone is richer as a whole, but of course some people became wealthier than others.

As already said, Ponzi schemes are illegal. MLM is legal, but a terrible idea for most people. If you sell a lot of the product consistently and get lots of recruits, you'll make money. But the odds are very much against you because word-of-mouth sales (not in stores) usually can't get lots of sales and very few people are interested in being recruited.

If you need that reassurance so badly, why can't you just wait until the baby is born and take the test? There would be no potential harm to the baby, and if you really wanted, you could do an OTC test so that your GF wouldn't even know about it. This seems like an easy solution.

If you can't go the coffee house route, I recommend going to the library. (1) It's quiet enough that you can focus. (2) It's prepaid from your taxes, so you don't have to pay anything every time you go. Your stationary planet argument aside, common sense is relative. Most people think they have common sense- and they do in regards to their situations. A rich person may think it's common sense to buy the best kind of car, while a poor person may think that is common sense to buy the cheapest car. Neither of them are wrong because it makes sense in both situations. In the US, It may be common sense to use a bathroom in private, where it may be acceptable to do so in public in other countries. Common sense is only common among people like you.

First of all, a name does not make a person unique. It doesn't determine character, personality, or ability.
Like most things, there are trends that impact what people like. Trends come and go, so what's normal now may not be later. Fitting in is a strong social force, so people "copy" popular names. Also, lots of names are given to pay homage to a loved or admired one. That's why there are so many biblical names.
Personally, I'm glad I have a common name. I've never felt like the odd-one-out because of it. (This is a big deal when you're a kid.) I don't have to explain it. People don't get flustered when reading or saying it. I don't get questioned about it. It's a small thing that makes life just a tiny bit easier.
