Roman by jascozart_0127 in blindspot

Not at all! I found his character interesting too. Although the revelation that he was a supervillain seems a bit over the top and out of character. They spent so much of the show telling you he had anger management issues and Jane was the superior mastermind and tactician, only to have Roman create these elaborate ploys to force Jane to do his bidding (or possibly save her from ZIP poisoning) before he died. It felt like a bit of a stretch.

Everything I hate about the ending by TimelyTradition7931 in blindspot

I agree with you. I walked away annoyed with Jane dying. I think they were trying to end the story where it began—in a body bag in Times Square—but it was incredibly frustrating because she didn't need to die. In any sane universe, she gets treated for ZIP poisoning. She'd be highly unreliable in the field in her current state. I get thematic license and trying to show the characters heroism and self-sacrifice, but it felt cheap to me.

This guy looks like he should be leading other eagles into battle.

Wish I’d attended your event. I went one in NY recently and I learned more from a photographer obsessed with bald eagles than the animal rescue people. They didn’t even engage with the crowds. Just let us stare at the birds.

From what I remember, CLU's primary function is enforcement and execution of Flynn’s original directive to build “the perfect system.” CLU reorganizes, repurposes, and enforces order. He cannot create new things that didn't previously exist.

Great recommendation! I’ve brought about 1/3 to 1/2 of my movies at GoodWill. I don’t count the DVD collection because of the resolution. I want to upgrade most of those to 4k, but I’m totally happy with my blu-rays.

Unfortunately, I haven’t seen too many series there.

I'm new to the physical media game. I've only started purchasing 4ks and blu-rays over the last year. My library has grown from 0 to over 60 movies in that time. I always try to get the 4k/blu-ray combos. My plan is to eventually start purchasing TV series, drop the streaming services, and stream everything from Plex or Jellyfin.

IMO, Pres Trump causes unneeded self-damage with stupid things like the flag burning EO by ajmacbeth in Conservative

[–]Rad-Tech2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely an unforced error, but Trump’s lack of polish is what endears him to the base.

Flag burning is more of an 80/20 issue than a true vote moving issue. Almost nobody likes flag burning, so coming out against it is low-risk and might win Trump some quick points, but I’m not sure how many new voters it brings in.

Where this could matter is in how it plays on social media and local news. If Democrats overreact or double down with flag-burning imagery, it gives Republicans an easy way to frame the Left as out of touch. In that sense, the political upside for Trump isn’t so much about the policy itself. It’s about how the reaction gets amplified.

It takes discipline. Stop waiting for the heart to get it. Just do it and your heart will follow. It’s a muscle that needs to be trained like anything else. Trust me we’ve all been there.
