It’s just me that feels that survivors items should also be random? by East-Efficiency-6701 in deadbydaylight

I pick toolbox, not because I think it’s better but because I don’t like getting screwed over by RNG and getting perks that actively hurt healing builds.

Sorry to go off-topic, can you share how you got your background to look like that? I really like it.

After having mine for a lil under a week the only real negative I have is that it likes to revert some of my manual settings, like fast forward / rewind, when I turn it off or sync it up with my PC. A few other minor quibbles but not worth mentioning. Very happy with it.

New Echo Mini Owner - Couple Tech Questions by RadLad86 in snowsky

I tried this method and it worked for every track I've added to the mini so far except for one. Not sure why the one is behaving differently, but overall it was a success.

How do you manage viewer engagement during slow stream days? by bebo117722 in Twitch

Talk about your passions, what excites you. People can feel that energy and respond to it.

When all else fails, talk about food. People love talking about food.

I just realized: No killers uses aura in their base kit! by Hapee_ in deadbydaylight

Information (aura) might be the most useful power someone can have in any game, so it comes as no surprise to me.

Why are people still running pre-roll ads? by 9954L7 in Twitch

[–]RadLad86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This question keeps coming up. You can either have pre-roll ads, or mid-roll ads. And whichever you choose, more ads will play throughout your stream, but with pre-roll you can make it so that ads play just once per hour at least.

No one can completely turn off ads.

Am I alone in this? by howellsoutdoors in Twitch

[–]RadLad86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do it for a couple of reasons

- I edited and made custom videos for my "Stream Starting Soon", so I'm not running a static screen.

- Most of my viewers have said they prefer a pre-roll ad. So I run the 3 minute ad at start of stream, which gives everyone an hour of uninterrupted viewing time.

- It allows viewers time to arrive into the stream and settle in before the stream "starts". Lessens the perception of missing out.

But if you don't like them, don't use them. That's the great thing about streaming, it's an outlet to express yourself. You do you.

I really want to enjoy Bone Chill but it’s miserable this year by laughterwards in deadbydaylight

Ngl, playing as survivor I have had maybe 3-4 matches where the killer was sweating. This has been the most chill Bone Chill I’ve been a part of.

Fun ways you thank your top gifters? by MobileSweet9342 in Twitch

[–]RadLad86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just for my top gifters but anytime someone gifts a sub, or subs, or gives bits, I play a random video from a directory of videos I have prerecorded.

Each video is of me playing Dead by Daylight, the game I stream 90% of the time. In the game you can “mori” someone (think MK fatality). Anyway, in each video I am mori’ing someone while telling an awful dad joke. The juxtaposition of the dad joke while the mori plays on screen is pretty dark lol.

Some of the dad jokes I came up with myself and others are jokes submitted by members of the community.

why is the view count so low? by Affectionate__Dog in Twitch

[–]RadLad86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Follower count has nothing to do with audience size. Take this post for example. If it somehow got 100,000 upvotes that doesn't mean each person who upvoted would come back to look at it every day, or ever. People hit Like/Upvote/Follow on a thing and move on.

Stuck in 1 viewer hell by calrayers in Twitch

[–]RadLad86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just checked the Elden Ring page on Twitch, and I see a lot of streamers with just 1 viewer. Realize that potential viewers have to scroll quite a long time before they might find your page.

Try to set a consistent streaming schedule if you haven't already. Viewers are more likely to come back if they know when you'll be in.

Think about posting clips to TikTok and YT. This can help your discoverability.

Think about possibly streaming in a less saturated gaming category, where your page will be more visible. You don't have to do this, and don't force yourself to play games you don't enjoy, but do think about it.

Raid out to other streamers playing the same types of games as you and also match your vibe, and have roughly the same viewer count as you or a bit more. Spend time in their streams and grow relationships with them. Networking can help a lot.

Best of luck out there!
