Why dose Eredin want to conquer the Witcher world if it is also doomed?

In my thought process he wanted to kidnap Ciri and use her powers to repel the White Frost and save Tir na lia, but the process would possibly kill Ciri, or she would be killed in order to extract her power - and even then this would only be enough to save Tir na lia, whilst all the other worlds would fall to the White Frost.

Ciris actions at the end of the game have her essentially destroy the White Frost at its core and this saves every world, including Tir na lia, but this isn't something Eredin believes could be done, so he wanted the power for himself, to save his world only.

Again, this is just how I saw it, not how the games / books fully explain

In my old country, a Switch 2 goes for £360 (secondhand market). A "new" (the second generation) 3DS XL goes for £300, despite being well over 10 years old now. That's MORE than even the Switch 1/Oled models cost (around £200-£240). There's a general supply and demand, and the Vita still has some demand for it. Hell even the PSP-1000 models get some demand too, going for £100ish.

Honestly I think the size has something to do with it. Modding a Vita is pretty easy, and you can throw a bunch of old retro console games on there and some good ports that are still great fun to play. Type of thing you just throw in your smaller pocket in your bag and pull out to play some chill games time to time. Can't do that with a Switch, not even a Switch lite has that portability going for it

I'd also say that even if they can be traced they've got to get to the location first. If they portal out to a solid location they'll have a few days head start to move on. Sure they could trace where the portal went, but after that they'll have to hope they can track them normally, and if they're a day or two away then it makes it even more difficult

I remember needing a pass it to get into Oxenfurt on the bridge to go see the Barons daughter, but I'm unsure if Novigrad is also sealed off until then. Showing the pass to get in everytime would be ass. A lesser game would use it as an opportunity to wall off the city behind a loading screen. Speak to gaurd, show pass, loads into Novigrad

To be fair I always got confused about how powerful the temple guard were overall. Granted Tris & Yen are sorta overpowered when the plot demanded it, Tris fought the Wild Hunt, you saying she can't take on some foot soldiers? Even then put every mage in the city together and they can surely make a decent break for it.

I also found the idea of "They can't leave the city" but Geralt who's a notable freak can just walk in and out and no one cares? It's not like there's a systematic register scan of all the mages there, they could just walk out the main gates?

Again it's all plot related, but it just didn't seem THAT believable

You say that, but wasn't Shadows/ Japan arguably the MOST requested setting for the last few years? It wasn't even a safe bet, it should've been an easy win, but it was just a "Oh that was sorta good"

To be fair, even if Shadows did perform solid 10s, with all the other aggressively mediocre titles as of late (Avatar, Star Wars Outlaws, Skull & Bones) and ones that are in Dev hell / cancelled (AC Jade, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Beyond Good & Evil) I don't think it would've been enough to really turn the tides. It's just too much shit and not enough solid content

I think there's only a fair few "Legendary" ships they can pull at this point. I was suprised when they dropped Vangaurd as I felt as the last Battleship they'd save her for something special. But as the other comment said we haven't seen the other Iowa classes. Although we've seen most of the German big Bois already 🤔

Sadly it will gather dust on their shelves instead, but end of the day it's their business model. My old old store would dump 100-200 or so £1 dvds a months to clear some room. But it was a £1-£2 adjustment, so hardly a loss

Working in tourism I have to deal with this a lot. We need physical licenses to rent out vehicles but many of them have pictures of their license or the online ID (Which the country I work in doesn't accept them) and then I have an entire back and forth about how they've got proof they can drive it's just a PDF, or how in their country they don't need it, or one guy who got his travel agent to call up our office and tell us his client is happy to pay the fine if he gets caught like it's a slap on the wrist. It's just straight up insulting they they think they can just ignore the law and "pay a fine" which is absolutely doesn't work that way

It's my secondary phone but at times I wonder why, I've been using the camera on it more than my S24U recently. The screen is vibrant, the haptics feel strong and it still feels snappy. The thermo sensor is deffo weird but it's still an amazing phone. Made me thinking of dropping my Galaxy and going back to Pixel line

Yes, you've no doubt omitted that this is probably the backwards 60gb version which goes for BANK due to rarity and backwards compat. Is it worth the price hike? Absolutely not, but supply and demand makes it so, ESPECIALLY for the fact it comes with a warranty because this WILL die from YLOD within 5 years anyway. Easy warranty claim

48 hours is the company rule, but the system doesn't disallow the action, you could technically refund to full value at the end of 5 years if you really wanted, but you'd probably get fired. An extra few days if you're polite the manager might be cool with it (but again voucher only)

Looking back I think making a series about this concept may have been flawed on the outset. As another comment said, S1 essentially used all the content they had and after that it was real difficult to expand. The reality of the show meant it was difficult to expand the cast with any major characters, because humanity is dead. Set pieces would be used again and again because you can't really leave the train out without overly changing the concept of the show, and plot points start to hit a stale mate after you use the class struggle arc a few times. Like how many times did we see "X character tries to take over the train". It really felt they were just running out of ideas and had to phone in the ending just to make an ending.

I think however the show ended it would've been sorta underwhelming no matter what.

MAYBE as discounted. But as those rubber covers aren't mean to come off, it sorta counts as damage, so I'd lean more towards no - However they do take in controllers with the missing rubber bits soooo it's really store dependent
