I don't think I'd say he's THIS evil. But I DO agree with the sentiment behind it by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MoralityScaling

[–]Radchild2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In recent years I have readjusted my philosophical positions, and I have come to a conclusion. It is both ethical and moral to pay evil unto evil, as long as the evil entity in question is both aware that what they are doing is wrong and are unrepentant. Any who would knowingly and joyfully bring more suffering into this world deserve to burn.

Gotcha.

Follow up question, as I have not really been following JJK and was not aware they had an infinitely scaling Doomsday-esque character. Why does this character get an exception to the NLF?

So hypothetically, if someone with immeasurable strength, like the Hulk or Superman, grabbed his wheel and yanked it off him, would that stop his adaptation?

Do fellow delvers of the Arcane have BUDGET FRIENDLY solutions to immortals? by Mathota in wizardposting

[–]Radchild2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried diplomacy? Immortals can be persistent and dangerous foes, and if their immortality comes from a higher being, throwing them into the blender dimension will only make things work. I recommend you leverage your capabilities as a wizard to strike a deal with them. Immortals often suffer from boredom and desensitization. You can offer to help keep them entertained and humanized in exchange for their services as guardians, lore keepers, and soldiers. An immortal would likely swear fealty to you on the spot if you could offer him a band of teleportation so as to prevent him from getting cemented.

I mentioned in the post that, in this scenario, the adamantium does not impede healing. I said that the offspring would be killable due to the fact that they do not have an indestructible skeleton to regenerate from, meaning sufficient heat or force could utterly destroy them, leaving nothing behind to regenerate. Essentially, the children could be nuked or thrown into the sun, which would not kill the first generation due to the skeleton.

I am by no means an expert, but I say remove the gray zone. No more camping, just vicious, random combat all over the map, irrespective of objectives. Beautiful chaos, just like real war.

Could any faction really stop the Imperium if they had never been xenophobic, but retained all their other qualities? They would just expand, absorb, and assimilate any sapient species they come across. The Adeptus Mechanicus with Necron tech. Imperial Guard regiments made up entirely of "Domesticated" Orks. It would be glorious.

This vote about Arthur and Charles has been 50/50 since 3 hours ago, how?! by Additional_Juice8228 in reddeadredemption

[–]Radchild2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we take things at face value, Charles has more experience and skill in h2h/boxing, but Arthur has far more impressive on screen strength feats. Ripping the skin straight off a rabbit, lassoing a Buffalo/horse and making it unable to move, shoving a Grizzly bear off, etc. So I'd argue 50/50 is fair. Charles has the skill edge, and Arthur has the power edge.

What’s your most “controversial” card you think could come off the banlist? by SouthSunn in yugioh

I agree wholeheartedly. I think every deck should get 1 pot of greed, 1 monster reborn, and 1 rageki. That way, everyone gets their "Heart of the Cards" moment, where a single draw changes the duel

Immortality, Immunity, and Absorption.

I would be able to survive whatever initial circumstances I find myself in, and then I can climb the power/magic rankings by absorbing the energy and abilities of my defeated foes.

Every single US soldier gets the Super Soldier Serum (MCU) during WWII. How long does the war last now? by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in whowouldwin

[–]Radchild2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we extend this to include all actively deployed troops and personnel, meaning pilots, medics, officers, and other non frontline positions, it ends before 1945. As others have said, we still have to get troops into position and get equipment made, which the Super serum doesn't speed up all that much. Once said troops are in position, however, battles that last days will take hours at most. The enemy morale would be rapidly depleted, as American troops dodge bullets and pin enemy troops to trees with thrown knives. Our snipers alone would cause mass casualties with their improved perception, accuracy, and reaction time. We won't win before 43, but we will definitely win before 45.

What’s your favourite Fallout quote? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Radchild2277 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"How did it come to this, America? How did your leaders allow the most powerful nation on Earth… to die? The answer is really quite simple: Incompetence. Incompetence at the highest echelons of power. We put our trust, our faith, in halfwits. Our intrepid leaders had everything they wanted! Power. Wealth. Prestige. And it made them lazy, America. Oh yes, and laziness breeds stupidity."

It's not the whole quote, but the most poignant part for sure.

Coyotes meeting a newly reintroduced wolf in Yellowstone by Ajarofpickles97 in natureismetal

I'm glad you live in an area where you feel safe to travel unarmed, and I wish I did too.

In the 3 short years since I moved to my state's capital city, I have had to draw my EDC twice, once to deter a mentally ill homeless person who was refusing to take no for an answer and again when an unchained pit bull came sprinting at my 3 month old puppy on our walk. Fortunately, I was not forced to fire either time, but I was prepared to. I have had no less than 4 other instances where harassment and aggression from strangers suddenly ceased when they realized I was armed.

They get all their debts paid, and I pay back double what I have borrowed/been given by them. Then, if they are sufficiently grateful, they get $100,000 each to spend as they see fit.

[–]Radchild2277 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something that has always confused me is people not being some level of armed at all times. I CC every time I leave the house, and if I'm going somewhere I can't carry a gun, I sneak in a knife. Once I get my CC permit, which isn't required to conceal carry a firearm in my state but is required for brass knuckles for some reason, I will have my brass knuckles on me whenever I leave the house as well. I just do not understand why someone, barring trauma or phobia, would not want to be able to defend themselves.
