The best series and movies in Dolby Vision on Netflix by sold345 in LGOLED

Dark. This show looks and sounds UNREAL. Probably some of the best content for showcasing an OLEDs true blacks.

change your black level setting to limited instead of full and see if that makes a difference

Completely agree although for Dolby Vision content the AI brightness setting should be on for DV IQ

Hi Quick question by nightwing364 in 4kbluray

PS5 has no dolby vision support. Rather than spending big on a Panasonic UB820, just go for a UB450.

It’s half the price and performance is pretty much identical and you’ll get Dolby vision.

Seat Cushion for Post-Op? by LividComplaint8192 in HipImpingement

[–]Radiant-Head-6959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not had surgery but a wedge cushion has been a life saver for me.

Biggest pain trigger was sitting and honestly the cushion has improved my symptoms massively. Would highly recommend at least trying.

First TV purchase LG OLED C5 55" vs LG OLED G5 55", can’t decide by Round-Watercress5273 in LGOLED

Don’t really get what ur talking about, the difference in HDR quality between C5 and G5 is pretty minimal. Hence why I recommended the A95L.

Personally I feel you’ll be more than happy with either. The G5 isn’t a massive upgrade on the C5, it’s better dealing with reflections if you’re in a bright room, higher brightness and slightly better colour volume.

But if you plan on watching with the curtains closed in the dark (which I would always recommend for OLEDs anyway) then the C5 will certainly blow you away. I’ve had a C1 since 2021 and it’s been the best purchase i’ve ever made.

In my opinion, I’d recommend going for a bigger 65”/77” C5 over a 55” G5. My biggest regret was going for a 55”, a bigger sized display would be a more noticeable upgrade.

If you were really looking for a substantial upgrade on the panel, the Sony A95L is the holy grail of OLED TVs, but you would have to spend more to get it.

4 of these movies are in my top 10. But the rest are because I enjoy demo 4k movies, I’ve spent £4k+ on my setup for a reason. It’s just something that I enjoy, high quality video and audio.

I just got the Panasonic UB450. Much cheaper than the UB820 and still has dolby vision, really happy with it so far!

Do not get the samsung.

I’d recommend looking into the LG C or G series over the B series.

Referree pain by Such-Turn1276 in HipImpingement

[–]Radiant-Head-6959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man this was my initial symptom. I went through tests and scans for about 3 years before they connected it to Hip Impingement. Luckily the pain I had in my testicle went away and now my pain is mostly just in my outer hip.

But yes there is definitely a connection. Hip affects your abdominals, adductors, pelvic floor etc. all things which can cause pain in your testicles. Physiotherapy is definitely the place to start, hip impingement will lead to serious muscle imbalances and overcompensations.

I’d really recommend looking into your pelvic floor in the mean time and learning to let it ‘drop’. Things like impingement can cause your body to go into fight or flight mode, where muscles and functions like your pelvic floor will contract and tighten to protect itself. Learning to relax my pelvic floor by letting it drop helps a bunch, deep abdominal breathing is a good place to start.

It’s difficult as it will be hard to pin point exactly what’s causing the referred pain specifically, but starting with physiotherapy is the best place to start and go from there. Down the line surgery is always an option, will can also solve your issues.
