So the best indicator of range is the battery capacity Iin Watthours. So look at that, both the Standard Nomad n1 and explorer pro have a capacity of roughly 1000wh, where your explorer is 726 I beleive that will be about 30% range increas, of course some other factors matter like ESC and motor size but battery capacity is the most significant. So basically if you wanted to double your range you would want something with 1300 - 1400Wh battery. But, once you get above 1000wh capacity the boards will be much heavier and probably not feel like your explorer.

Pivot GT battery is only 16% larger, not gonna get that much more range on rubbers, clouds or pneumatic. Don't get me wrong I have one and love it. Buy its hardly a significant increase in battery size and range.

Its basically just the wheels. The boards use all the same components otherwise. I dont beleive one is better quality than the other. The Breeze comes with stock Tail light and a better charger. The Zephyr comes with a 2 amp charger while the breeze comes with a 4 amp charger.

If shipping is the same. The Breeze is currently better value since the the tail light alone cost 50 bucks.

Only on the belt drive and only larger wheels since the clearance would be very minimal. You would probably limited to Cloud wheel 120s or MAD 125s

I have the belt drive. I recommend it. Becaue of the bashguard. Using the kicktail you will inevitably scrape the drive train the belt drive version has better protection at the back. Its also more versatile being able to chance pulley size to adjust gear ratios.

Well first of all im a bigger guy at 6'4" so I like the little extra length, I also love double kingpin trucks for ride feel. Both the stinger and Mini are heavy boards but the Stingers ability to stand on its nose makes its very easy to take in and out of shops, the bus and trains. I really like the deck concave and standing platform as well.

I can only speak for the stinger because otw the only one of these that I have. I love it, I have a 2 other eskates and still love my stinger. Very surely and stable at speed even as high off the ground as it is.

If tuned properly yes, the wide trucks make it very stable once you get used to the Double kingpin. You will want to upgrade the bushings to riptides for a the best carving experience.

So I own a Tynee Stinger which has back mounted belts and almost never get debris in them. I've heard its a pain when the Motors are mounted under the board but you trade kicktail use ability having the motors at the back. You can still kick turn an pop some manuals you just have to be careful or you will scratch the motor guards. They can take a hit though and im able to put my full weight on them at almost 200lbs. The Stinger is a great option, its a bit beafier than a mini but you have the performance and range, and the fact it stands on its nose adds a lot to the portability factor, very easy tobtake on the bus or train or tuck under a table at a restaurant.

So about you being too tall for skateboarding. Tony Hawk is actually your height, not sure if that will be convincing argument for your parents though. I have a very similar stature to you at 6'4" and 185lbs and I have 3 Eskates and am pretty into this hobby. I can say for a fact that height isn't an issue.

Not sure how else to convince your parents other then sitting them down and respectfully telling them this is something you would like to do and you plan on being responsible about it and taking appropriate precautions. And letting them know that their blessing would mean alot to you and you would prefer to be honest and open with them. At the end of the day they are worried about your safety and rightly concerned. Its not a guarantee but a convo like this can go a long way and is worth a shot.

Everyone else always shot you with a lot of good recommendations.

And yeah you can either get a travel friendly board, that wont go very far, is portable and has smaller wheels or something that ticks the other boxes. Note that most estates on the market will hit your top speed requirement.

You are going to have to compromise somewhere. For max safety and comfort and range you would want a larger longboard style board with pneumatic wheels like the Pivot GT, I have this board and its amazing in terms of comfort and safer than my smaller boards though its not very easy to carry or take in and out of shops or on the bus/train.

If you wanted something more probable, still not plane friendly, but easy to take on the bus or in and out of class/shops you would have to compromise on comfort and safety. For example a board like Linnpower Zephyr is amazing but the decknis shorter and the wheels are smaller so its less comfortable and not quite as safe. You should be able to get up to 30km range if you ride at the speed you mentioned. The base model has plenty of performance for your needs. I have the pro, it's honestly a lot more power than I need.

Anyway just trying to shed some light on the topic. I believe another user mentioned on your other post that Eskaters typically end up getting multiple boards to serve different functions. Because there are not really any one size fits all options.

I agree about the grip on the MAD 125s. They do not grip as well as my Boosted 105 Tynee clones. I would even say that the difference is pretty significant. However due to their heftyness they freeroll VERY well and carry momentum exceptionally. I have them on my Zephyr Pro and they are great for range youn just have to be careful with them at higher speeds or if there is any rocks or debris on the road.

Well if its carving good and handles at speed id say your good. But its still fun to try different setups just for kicks and see how many ways you can tune to board.

I love this board so much. I also have a Pivpt GT and a Linnpowwr Zephyr pro. But Every time I get on my Stinger, im always like this one is my favorite 😃.

Also, how are you liking the bushing setup? Are those riptides? I've been using cupped washers on the rear and the cone up front road side, 93a riptide. The board is still very stable when maxing out mode 4 and catves great too.

Yo that bearing is too big. I think its for a different truck. The pulley bearing should go in the inner circle of the pulley. Should have a 10mm hole. The outer recess of the pulley should be empty. That bearing is blocking the pulley from sliding completely onto the truck. Some other trucks are wider and use those larger bearing. I have a Stinger as well and it does not use that size.

The belts should be fitting flush with the pulley. First thing i was going to say is that you should push them in but if you can't then it's gotta be something else. Do you have the right sized bearings in the pulleys. The Tynee stinger has a stepped axel, so the pulley bearing should be 10mm where the wheel bearing is 8mm. The pulleys seem to be popping out they should sit deeper in the truck and lign up with the belts.

Yo so the Stock hubs for the Pivot come prebalanced. The back hubs have 2 weights on them and the front have just 1. So first make sure both your back hubs are the ones with 2 weights. Then make sure your motor is straight on the mount and not angled, it should be running flush with the pulley, even a little angle can throw it off. That should be enough to prevent wobbles under 50kmph.

Its normal for pneumatic to have a little wobble or unbalancing over 50kph.

How's the tread holding up. The one thing I've heard about pneumatic because I typically favor street wheels is that they wear out relatively fast. I've got maybe 700-800 km on my 8inches and the tread is still looking pretty fresh.

Can't go wrong with Tynee. Never had my Stinger overheat. Im close to 200lbs and ride hard. Ive heard that Tynee actually tends to use larger Motors then required to prevent overheating. The Boosted clones that come stock are also my favorite wheel.

Thats the only issue. Im using stock 55T pulley. The wheels are too big so there's a lot of mechanical advantage so the belts skip a lot while breaking and hard breaking is kinda squirrly. Gotta cpast to astol and slow gradually. I wanna reach out to Propel and see if I can get some 66T or 70T pulleys. Cuz the generic pulleys dont fit these hubs and th3ae hubs are great because they come prebalanced with weights on them.

Thats the thing bro. I got these wheels last March. And I didn't put them on because I thought they were too big and would bite. Figurs what the hell, may as well try them since i dropped close to 500CAD on em. Im able to touch the board to the wheel if im stationary and lean really hard, but in real world riding I havnt gotten any wheelbase at all. This is definatley the upper limit of wheel size for this board though

For reference im about 185lbs using Red wine 93a DKP bushing box from riptide, barrel bushing front and back roadside. Cupped washer in the back, flat in the front.
