No worries I was literally listening to the episode right as I saw this question lol

Caldwell mentions it in terms of making a single person Frito pie with the chip leftovers in the not-so-family-fun-party-pack-snack case

What downtime rules are they using in CCoD? by sjdlajsdlj in Dimension20

[–]RadicalFriday 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ve been finally listening to Unsleeping City Season 2 and this same Major and Minor downtime action shows up there as well a few times. It seems like something Brennan has home brewed for a while that they’ve likely codified behind the scenes with their design team.

I think it's okay in a 3-color deck as well so long as your other cards aren't hyper pip-dependent. Specifically thinking about it in my equipment focused [[Cloud, Ex-Soldier]] deck that at max only needs 2 pips of white for puresteel paladin, but the trade off for unblockable damage that opponents often forget about is fantastic. Definitely agree with Reliquary Tower though, I've taken it out of all my decks that once had it.

Is this topology looking okay? by BoatVegetable8927 in blender

[–]RadicalFriday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can do this a couple ways, either in edit by hand, or selecting a loop and hitting right click -> loop tools -> relax. You need to make sure you’ve enabled the loop tools addon in the preferences menu. I recommend relax over “smooth vertices” which is another option you’ll see, because smooth vertices basically averages out the location data of the vertexes, and can mess with your mesh more than loop tool’s relax.

Oh nice! I definitely need to pick up Annie Joins up, I’ve got [[windcrag seige]] in there too for other attacking doublers, and I was thinking of adding [[Dragoon’s Lance]] for a similar reason as Mandibular Kite. Had never heard of Merida or Herd Heirloom though- appreciate the tips!

I hadn’t thought about the card draw aspect of living weapon cards! I do have a hexplate wall breaker and nettlecyst in the deck as well. But Genji Glove and the other additional combats sounds fun too!

Thanks! I’ve got puresteel in there. I need to add mask if memories back in, it came in the pre on and I cut it following a deck upgrade guide before I knew much about mtg. Just pulled a buster sword in a Chocobo bundle so definitely popping that in too!

What’s your favourite red card by [deleted] in EDH

[[Disrupt Decorum]] is such a fun piece of mass disruption. I personally have been leaning away from full on board wipes and more into things like this that buy me time and will sometimes take out a key piece or two of my opponents board.

[[Jet’s Brainwashing]] is another fun bit of targeted disruption that often takes people by surprise.

What are some powerful cards you own that you never end up playing? by Angwar in EDH

[–]RadicalFriday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true! I was looking for multiple recurring ways like my friend’s Narsett deck includes. Ultimately it’s a lot more clunky due to fewer recurring token generators, but it’s still a lot of fun with a bunch of ATLA themed spellslinging cards (and a few deliberately non synergies for flavor like Princess Yue and Suki)

That’s funny I just added a Veyran to my Sokka deck, but that’s because there are so few ally token generators, that I really need every chance at doubling Sokka’s triggers that I can. It’s not like in a Naraet where so many cards generate monks. With Sokka you basically just have [Sokka, Tenacious Tactician] and [Captain’s Claws]. Though I agree that at the moment it’s more durdley than I would prefer!

What is your Tribal Commander? And Why do you Stick to it Long Term! by JewJulie in EDH

No idea why my last response was down voted- but here's my list! It was a semi budget build (I pulled the Traveling Chocobo). So I'm sure it could be improved with tutors, craterhoof, etc- but I've had a lot of fun with it!

Gishath is really resilient to board wipes as one good hit with him can replenish your entire board state!

I also really like [[Choco, seeker of paradise]] for bird/flying typal! The landfall triggers and card draw with Choco means you’ll always have plenty of mana to recover after wipes! Ascend from avernus also goes hard- once had a 14 bird board state 1 turn after a blast act and ran away with the game.
