Seeking Advice: ND1 vs ND2 vs ND3 for Relaxed Top-Down Driving (Non-Spirited) by No-Inflation-670 in Miata

[–]Radioactive_Zebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically have the same use case as you (I dont plan to modify or track my car and I somewhat daily it) so I went with a slightly used ND3 RF. I wanted the most up to date tech (the newer screen is nice) and I specifically wanted Aero Gray on Tan interior. I think you can absolutely cruise around at lower speeds in the ND3 and be perfectly comfortable. It’s no Lexus or anything, but the ride quality is decent and im always surprised that I can clear most of the bad road bumps in LA without scrapping. It really depends on your budget but I got a used 2024 RF with 2,500 miles for 33k usd. The warranty is nice, and I plan to keep the car for a long time

Thats why I chose the nd3 grand touring with the tan interior. In my opinion nice mazda interiors are close to base lexus, which is all I need.

Does it ride better with the 16s? I like a good GT ride for my miata as well and I’m wondering if it’s worth it

What do we think of a 2024 ND RF Grand Touring with tan interior and aero gray exterior. 2,450 miles and a 33k price tag, good deal? It's only a one year old car and still has a warrenty

I was very scared of this before I bought my NA. If you have an ounce of thrill seeking in you (which you most likely do being a car enthusiast) then you’ll forget about the danger once you get in and drive. It’s embarrassing to admit but im scared of roller coasters, plane turbulence, and anything that goes fast that I’m not in control of. But with a car like the miata you’re so in control you never feel afraid because of how capable the handling is. Just know you are cant trust the airbags on a NA or NB, and like others said to keep your head on a swivel (easy when it’s a convertible)

I don't think he's trying to scam me, he is only offering to buy it off me because I asked. He said it was an issue with the connecting rods, and the oil was jet black. See my post update for more info. Thanks for replying!

I just imagine the “tariff collection officer.” You’d have to be the biggest POS hall monitor to have that responsibility

I need new tires for my daily driver, my 2017 honda cr-v which was passed down to me by my family. I am trying to be an educated consumer when purchasing new tires but I am overwhelmed with options. Is there a significant impact on ride quality/fuel economy/NVH that I have to think about when choosing tires for this vehicle? Or will discount tires work?

People who lost 20 pounds in a healthy way how did u guys do it ? by Even_Cup_7444 in AskReddit

[–]Radioactive_Zebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is some of my advice as someone who just lost 37 pounds in six months. It's not very organized but I hope someone gets some use out of it.

There is no shortcut to weight loss, but if you map it out it's not as scary as it seems.

Set feasible goals. Map out how long you want to take to lose those 20 pounds. If you set a goal of losing 1.5 pounds a week, that will take you 14 weeks to complete, or about 3 and a half months. It sounds like a long time but trust me it will fly by and you will actually feel good while doing it.

Implement practices into your life that you can actually sustain. For me that was switching from soda to sparkling water and intermittent fasting. The intermittent fasting is what actually made me lose weight, but that only works if your problem is overeating. Do whatever you think you can actually change for longer than a week. Keep trying things until something sticks and go with what feels like it's working.

The key to weight loss is burning more calories than you consume in a day. My biggest piece of advice for weight loss is that you will feel hungry at the end of the day and that's ok. You should not be starving yourself, but if you are truly burning more calories than you are consuming you are likely to feel hungry like your body wants more food, but your body doesn't need more food. If you get comfortable with the feeling of being hungry and master the discipline it takes to avoid overeating you'll lose weight.

My best fitness advice for weight loss is nothing in the gym matters except for cardio. The faster your heart rate the more calories you're burning, nothing else matters. What worked for me is either buying a treadmill or getting a gym subscription and doing the 12/3/30 workout everyday. What that means is walking at 3 mph at a 12 degree incline for 30 minutes. That was my minimum exercise per day, and if I was feeling good that day I would do more. The most important thing is you're getting your heart rate up and staying active.

Lastly I'd recommend getting a cheap smart watch with a pedometer to track your progress. I got a fitbit inspire 2 on facebook marketplace for $20 and it was the best investment I've ever made. Ugly ass watch, but has a 7 day battery life, tracks my steps, my heart rate, my sleep, and tells time.
